  1. So far, Andre is playing inspired bball.....
  2. Fever, I'm already looking ahead to next year!
  3. Might want to post here: http://board.huskerh...e-state-800-pm/ Fever, I took this as a baby step forward. At least he didn't start a thread.....
  4. Miles just said on pregame he's going to try and play Rivers some.
  5. Okay, it's time to get out of this offensive funk the Huskers have been in the last two games. We need a game where everyone contributes offensively. It's time to get 4 or 5 Huskers in double figures tonight. It will be no easy task. The Gamecocks are athletic. They lost to Oregon by the same 22 point margin we did. We're 6 point favorites. This team needs to play well tonight and then try to run the table the rest of the noncon. If they do that, it would give me hope we can be competitive in more than just a few B1G games. GBR!
  6. 49r, I thought about going with The Babys (featuring John Weight) singing Andre's serenade to a double whopper with cheese. But, that would be in bad taste.....
  7. I'd like to weigh in on this subject.....
  8. I wonder when the last time was Northwestern only scored 38 in a game....
  9. Yeah, cwg, my 21 year old son went to the movie last night and thought it was great, too, and we went to all of the LOTR movies together. Maybe it was better for him because he didn't have to watch it with the old man......
  10. I like to occasionally check out Frank the Tank's take on college athletics. He always has well thought out postions, and he's been right several times when talking about conference realignment. He has a nice piece about the 7 Big East schools, but what I really found to be an interesting read is the article right below it he wrote about Florida State joining the B1G. http://frankthetank.wordpress.com/
  11. The 80 point, two game total (Creighton, Oregon) is the lowest since the 1948-49 season. I wouldn't be surprised we find out the lowest point total record in a 3 or 4 game stretch once conference play starts....
  12. Yeah, jimmy, it was my first ever 3D movie. That was pretty cool. The movie was alright. I'll probably wait til the Hobbit trilogy comes out on DVD to see the other two....
  13. What a waste of an afternoon. The Huskers only score 38 points and The Hobbit wasn't nearly as good as any of The Lord of The Rings. oh well, at least the beer is tasty....
  14. Well, maybe we can win most of the remaining noncons......
  15. Sounds good to me. Listened to the last 15 minutes on the radiio. How bad is Rivers hurt?
  16. Cheer 'em on, guys. I'm off to the movies....
  17. Tim Miles has to feel a little bit like the Black Knight in "The Life of Brian." No Parker today, Shields is still banged up and Peltz is on a bum wheel. Not good news going into Oregon. I'm not very optimistic for this game. Probably a sign of things to come in the B1G. By the end of the season, we very well could be saying, "Alright, we'll call it a draw." Go Big Red! Today's thread is up a wee bit early. Mrs Cip and I are going to see the Hobbit. I'm a huge Tolkien fan. With that in mind, Mike Peltz needs to take a bit of advice from Gandalf. If you're wide open with the ball, and Oregon is daring you to shoot, "You shall not pass!" GBR.
  18. Welcome to the board, Mr. Hutton!
  19. I know there's a sophomoric joke there somewhere.....
  20. I thought last year Tubby ranked him up there with the best centers in U of M history. Maybe I was doing Nyquil shots.....
  21. wow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9M1Ks08cLs
  22. Mike Peltz is ranked first in fewest field goals attempted.....
  23. Lennon really wasn't political. He was anti Viet Nam war, as were a lot of people from differing political points of view. If you listen to the lyrics to Revolution, he was telling the far leftists they were loony, and he didn't want any part of their plans. One of the reasons he left Great Britain was because of their high tax rates, and he chose to stay at home to raise his son. Sorta the same values as most Nebraskans..... Lennon loved America because he loved freedom.
