.....when it's over. I really dislike these 8 p.m. tipoffs, and I know we have some more to go this year. Oh well.... I'm looking forward to seeing how these Huskers will play on the road. Sometimes, a change of scenery will do ya good, and after the lackluster performance against Kent State, they need a shot of energy. Winning at Wake Forest will by no means require a Herculean effort, but they'll need to play their best game to date to do it. I hope Shields is available for some minutes, and I hope Ray has learned to drive in the last couple days. Any chance I get to feature Motown on a game thread, I'll jump at it. The Funk Brothers were unbelievable musicians. Speaking of The Funk Brothers, I see Bootsy has yet to make it to the new forum. Loved his avatar...... Anyway, let's get a road win tonight. I think most fans have been pretty realistic with expectations for this season. This year is for laying the foundation of what the program will become under Tim Miles. There will be times, maybe for a half, maybe an entire game, when we will be really excited for what the future holds for Nebraska Basketball. There will also be times, like last night, when we will be reminded that the cupboard is pretty bare right now. I just hope everyone will remember that it isn't the players fault the program is where it is at present. I try not to bag on college kids. Now, that doesn't mean I'm beyond throwing out the occassional overweight joke now and then.
