I think we can all agree the offensive output for the Huskers the last 3 games has been pretty anemic, in a rut you might say. Chances are, it will be that way for most of this season. Doesn't mean it will be every game. Putting the ball in the hoop is kinda like riding a bike--once you learn, you can always do it. The four returners on this team need to remember how to do it. Talley, drive to the bucket. Ubel and Almeida, make the bunnies. Ray, tonight from downtown, you need to go boom, boom. boom! And all of you, make your damned freethrows. Most of all, just have fun. Leaving El Paso with two victories might be approaching "turning water into wine" territory, but who knows. This is the time of year for miracles. Go Big Red!

He's right on that point. Barfknecht can irritate me at times, but I always read his articles/columns. He's been covering NU athletics for a long time. I know journalists are supposed to be impartial, but after reading his stuff for years and listening to him on radio interviews, I think he would love nothing better than Husker Hoops to be respectable. Wouldn't we all.....
