Texas A&M (20-14) vs. Nebraska (23-10) Game Thread
cipsucks replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
The University of Nebraska buys them and sells a 12'x12" section to fans as a part of our first trip to the Sweet Sixteen. -
Listening/watching at home. Listening to Kent on the radio, and sticking my head around the corner to watch what Kent called a minute later. Best of both worlds: get to listen to Kent and post here live time in game thread, and still see the highlights. BTW, I wouldn't miss Kent's call for anything tonight.

Way too quiet around here. A song for everyone in Memphis hearing some kick-ass blues. -

Don't get me wrong, I couldn't be happier the Huskers don't play till 6 o'clock on Friday evening. It doesn't make waiting any easier... -

I filled out two brackets. One with Nebraska in the Sweet Sixteen, the other with the Huskers in the Elite Eight. -
Is Hoiberg the coach of this team next year?

In two weeks, Hoiberg will be the most under paid coach in the nation. Just watch... -

In retrospect, that AD wasn't permanent, either. -

Yeah, but we replaced Moe Iba with Danny Nee who at least took us to the Tournament multiple times. Look, I get what you're saying about Tim Miles. It didn't work out. Too bad it didn't. I really like this team, and where this program is right now. I'm done looking in the rearview mirror. -

Thanks, Dave! What a long, strange trip it's been. While you guys are in Memphis cheering on the Huskers, we will be here declaring and decreeing the Huskers going to the Sweet Sixteen! I've already started. A&M and Houston have no idea what's headed their direction! -

We used to have a poster here named sideburns jones who was into mopping the floor. One of my favorites. I think @jimmykc took a hankering to him, also. -

I've already told my story on my first Husker game in the Coliseum. I don't want to be " that guy" who keeps telling the same story over and over. But, I will say, I really like this team! My early memories following the Huskers: this had to be the 70-71, season. I watched the Huskers play on TV on a few Saturday afternoons, during the Big 8 season. Never on every Saturday but at least 3-4 conference games a season. Marvin Stewart was a senior, Chuck Jura a sophomore. Usually won in Lincoln. I remember Marvin Stewart being so good! Probably my favorite memory from that same time period, was Wednesday night games. I grew up in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, and my dad was the organist for our church for 40 years. Of course, Lenten services could not be missed. They started at 7 pm, same time as Husker tip-offs. Remember, I'm 10- 14 years old, so I talk my mom into giving me the car keys so I can warm up the car the second the service is over. Usually caught the last 15 minutes of the second half. -

I always liked Mott The Hoople. David Bowie was a fan of this band. He wrote All the Young Dudes for them. This song is one of my favorites. -

By far Cipriano's best team, from what I've read. I was only 5 at the time. -

I've heard the line for tickets was really long 3 weeks ago.

That would be perfect. There might be one on the committee who might not like it.
