Dayton. As we speak, the 10 member selection committee is singing The Brothers Johnson to the Huskers.
-
When I run contests, I offer prizes. WTF is this?
-
One half of the couple left, so all is good. I take this as a sign the Huskers are in Dayton....
-
You got trouble? I've got a lesbian couple arguing here tonight. I'll call your trouble and raise you 69....
-
The Huskers are in Dayton. I don't care what happens tonight or the rest of the weekend.

Should college players get paid and if so how much?
cipsucks replied to NUdiehard's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
They are getting paid. Tuition, meals, apparel, paid trips all over the country, including Hawaii, free health care, unlimited access to training facilities, school tutors and all the other crap I can't come up with at this moment. Brevity is the soul of wit.... -
This thread died a natural death on February 28th (as it should have). Why would the OP resurrect it more than a week later?

Bracketologists reaction when Nebraska makes the NCAA Tourney field Sunday:
-
All I know is Mrs. cip is gonna have a cow when the Huskers make the Big Dance...
-
Wake within 6 starting the second half. They've improved to rusty water....
-
They're coming around. Much closer to urine....

I see a difference between the two programs when it comes to coaching hires. The reason I know Frost will be successful is because he was part of the winning formula Devaney and Osborne developed here. He's stated he's going back to it. Pelini, Callahan and Riley had no clue about that formula. Basketball is completely different. There's no proven formula. Nee had it rolling for 6 or 7 years, but no formula. And in the end, he stayed a year or 3 too long. Collier and Doc aren't any different than any other coaches we've had in the last century. Footnotes, at best. I hope Miles is on the verge of greatness. What is his formula? Nee got us to relevancy in 4 years. Miles in 6, so not far off. I need to see his vision to become a believer.

Maybe. Moos could also give a brand new contract. If he likes what this staff is doing, you give the assistants raises as well. If Moos is unsure about Miles and Co., I bet he gives a 3 year extension. Time will tell. All I know is I like Bill Moos.

That's kinda like saying your current girlfriend who's a 6 but has a great personality, is really hot because with the last two girls you dated, the first looked pretty but laid there like a dead fish, and the last one looked like Ron Howard's little brother....
-
When you get to the forum section, there's a button on the right hand side that says donate. It's right below the gizmo thingee where "soemone" has a problem with spell check.

Wasn't it Dr. Tom that said something to the effect that they're only big games when you lose them?
-
BTW, wager is pronounced (WAY-jer) and not VAUG-her). We've had a German player in our past and an opposing dick head player in our present that might be confused with pronunciations....

I get tired trying to wrap my mind around all the games you guys break down. Y'all deserve a stiff drink. Thanks for all the work you've put in! If you're ever in Hampton, that stiff drink is on the house.

Now I know I've officially embraced joining the B1G. I hate both these effin teams.....

In 2001, when Nebraska Football lost to Colorado, the national head of the company I worked for at the time, called to give his condolences. I told him, "I don't know why, but I have a feeling the Huskers will be in the national championship game." He laughed and told me there wasn't a chance. Three weeks later, he called and asked how I knew? "Just listened to listened to my gut," I told him. My gut is telling me now the Huskers are making the Big Dance. Gonna be some goofy stuff happening next week in the conference tourneys. Here's my friendly wager for all who want to play: If you bet against my gut (and the Huskers), and I'm wrong (something Mrs. cip reminds me of every day), you get a free burger and beverage at Conlee's. Or for those playing from out of state, I'll send you a bag of Lucky Brand Jerky. However, if you pick against us (my gut and the Huskers) and NU makes the NCAA Tourney, you have to make at least a $10.00 donation to HHC. Now for the brave who want to join me, if the Huskers make the tourney, you win the same. But if they don't, you still have to pay up to HHC. Carefully consider what you're doing before you haphazardly jump on this thread with your wager. Dimes will let me know who has and hasn't made a donation. Knowing the procrastinator that I am, let's put a deadline of May 1st to collect or pay. I will publically call out those of you who are trying to weasel out of a friendly wager. If you want to play, just post if you think the Huskers are in, or they're out. GBR!

Screw next year. I bet we play them again this year in the big dance. You can either call me the eternal optimist, or the anti-nustudent. Either one works.
-
Congrats! And just think, in today's climate, years down the road your grandchild might decide the test was wrong....
-
Actually, it looks like a knee jerk reaction to me. You can't wait til summer to see if you're gonna keep your coach. If Moos waited until the roster was set to make a contract decision, he'd be the biggest buffoon of an AD we've ever had, maybe tied for first with Pederson. I've followed this team as long as you have. Besides a 5 year run under Nee, when have we ever been a consistent NCAA team? Just chill. Wait til after Selection Sunday to get all riled up.
-
When would the roster be set? When did White leave, summertime? At that time of year, maybe we can get Sadler to come back and coach here. The knee jerk reactions fans have after a loss really piss me off.

Michigan State starts the day off right. Higher seeded teams win all four!
