2019 Juco Guard Tomas Woldetensea -> Virginia
jayschool replied to Norm Peterson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Don't worry about the minutes per game thing. IHCC apparently doesn't know how to count those. See below. Lots of games where he played just one minute? If so, he scored 20 points on Nov. 30 in just one minute!!! 28 points on Dec. 11 in one minute!! -
https://www.thetimesherald.com/story/sports/high-school/2019/04/08/port-hurons-eric-williams-ready-set-sail-announces-transfer-duquesne-university/3400158002/ "This time going it will be different going through the process. I believe I will be smarter about it. I'll know more about it. I wasn't really recruited before. I'll take my time." During one stretch of the season, Williams began to play the efficient type of basketball that he always knew he was capable of. That resulted in the first 40-point game of his collegiate career against St. Louis. He scored the 40 points while shooting 15-of-20, including 7-of-9 from 3-point range. Williams will now head back out on the recruiting trail, hoping to make a decision on his new school by the end of May. He will have to sit out a year, but he will be able to practice with his new team. When he returns, he will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Plus, Nebraska's a better program historically than Iowa State. Nebraska: 1,477–1,337 (.525) Iowa State: 1,376–1,322 (.510) Nebraska leads the all-time series vs. Iowa State 131-103 Do they know this at WHO-TV in Des Moines?

JPJ and Glynn Playing this Weekend in MPLS
jayschool replied to Cowboy Kermit's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
The Big Ten should have enlisted Aaron Jordan from Illinois, a 41 percent shooter from deep, to go with Glynn in the backcourt. Happ and Murphy need to make every shot from inside if they're on the team, and they didn't. Morgan was useless. Personally, I think 3-on-3 should have the same scoring as regular hoops, but make the target 35 points instead of 21. As you noted, as is, the game is just a 3-point shooting contest. Oops, 2-point shooting contest. -
NO BACKGROUND CHECK!?!?!?!??

Baer would have been able to close out better than Murphy or Happ because he does so for Iowa. -

FIFY. He didn't even start for Iowa, but a player like Nicholas Baer would have been helpful. Other than Glynn, no one on the Big Ten squad was a consistent threat from deep. -

Big guys couldn't close out on MAC shooters. Morgan was pretty useless, too. -
@jimmykc Another "German-born" Fred? Or at least that's what people have been saying.

Glynn dominated outside and in. The B1G team struggled when he was on the bench. 8-12 from the field, including 3-5 from deep with three offensive rebounds. 11 points for Glynn, Happ 6, Murphy and Morgan 2 each. -
Judge for Yourself @jimmykc. Have a little Gracie when making assumptions about the rest of us.

Twitter link: https://twitter.com/i/events/958037019921231872 Games already underway. It's a 10-minute clock, but it hasn't run out yet, as one team has reached 21 before then in every game. The Big Ten game was one of the longest on the game clock because "we" shot a lot from inside the arc (1-point) and played great defense. It was never close, but it takes a little longer to dominate inside and play strong D than to rain a bunch of 2-pointers (outside the arc). -
Thank dog it's not Syracuse.

Muggsy Bogues? Benny Parker? I'd rather they invite 6-7 or 6-9 guys.

Patriot beats MEAC 21-20. I love the money showers. -

Alfred "Bud" Pagel was a legendary journalism instructor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's College of Journalism. As an undergrad, I had Mr. Pagel for a reporting class, and he went around the room asking each of us what our career goals were. He came to one earnest young woman and asked her. "I'd like to be a television anchor," she said. "Oh, honey (it was the early '80s)," Pagel replied. "Television isn't journalism. It's show business." My corollary: And in Des Moines, it's bad show business.
