NEBRASKA/RUTGERS WHO WILL WIN THE RUBBER GAME

I went back and watched the 10 point loss to them in their place from the end of Jan.

We jumped out to a 12 point first qtr lead that they reduced in the 2nd qtr.  It was tied up at the end of the 3rd qtr and we just ran out of gas in the 4th.  That was the game that the starters Theriot, Havers, Shepard, Clark and Romeo basically played the whole game.  Only subs were Kalenta and Cincore for 4 minutes each (0 pts).  Theriot had a decent game and Romeo and Shepard played very well except for 5 turnovers by Shepard.  Havers and Clark had really rough games.  I counted at least 12 unforced turnovers.  Primarily poor passes and traveling.  Also Coach Yori admitted in post game that she should have subbed more.

 

Keep our turnovers under 10 and I see a win on Thursday!  GBR!

Three words rebounds, rebounds, rebounds. As poorly as Rutgers shoots, if we limit second chance points it should be an easy W.

Don't you have to throw out both prior games with Rutgers? 

 

We're not the same team now. They have had some decent games recently, so which team will show up for them?

 

Glad we had a couple of games since RT and Kyndal had to sit the bench, to develop our new scheme. It's hard to tell how much we improved against NW...they are in a downward slide them selves.

 

If we can get scoring like against NW, it will be a good game. If Maddie, Nat, AND Jess can get 15 each, plus some scoring firm everyone else..... we will be competitive offensively anyway.

 

As said rebounds.....Our defense will need another 10 rebounds from Allie like against NW, plus lots more from Jess, Burns, Anya, and friends. ....And more good work from the bench, in all phases.

 

Keep the turnovers low, protect the ball.  We did a real nice job against NW...by coming together as a new team.  Need to do it again. It's very possible we will.

that's the million dollar question. will this lineup be able to do it again? if they look very similar to the game against nw ( minus the first quarter    ), it will calm some nerves going into next season. it's a tough say-----huskers have truly turned the page, now (w/rt and kc done). a bit earlier than expected.

I'll be on a flight to New York (clad in husker gear) but luckily we'll be able to catch part of the game during a layover. GBR!!
