If one were to believe twitter tonight, a "good road win" is beating a lackluster former glory in DePaul in a ginormous arena in the suburbs when DePaul is an urban campus. A win over a team that has lost 5 straight games in which only 6k fans showed, many cheering for the visitors from Omaha. Oh well, now I feel dumber for reading tweets that tout a "good road win" - albeit a similar road victory that Nebraska got at FSU three months ago in front of thousands of equally enthused fanatics of the Noles. Anyway, any road win would be nice. So, the irony is not lost on me with this post. Dripping with satire & disdain.

The trumpeting of a "good road win" will reign supreme (touche, right?) on Thursday. I hope I am prophetic since this is the 3rd time that I've posted that NU will beat OSU this week. The big difference in the Big Ten a road victory must be garnered over a 19-win Buckeye team with 17k screaming 'O' fans! Bottom line, stay away from the twitter machine promoting road wins over downtrodden programs  (clearly, I am hopingThursday will be a different story from Sunday)...  ;)

End of vent. G'Day!

I have multiple twitter accounts and didn't see a mention of beating the Northwestern of the Big East

I must have the wrong people followed, then. ;)

Actually, Northwestern is in a much better situation than DePaul, surprising as that may seem.

Time to cut your twitter kudzu

DePaul basketball-wise might compare better with Rutgers but if you're talking about "underwhelming private school in Illinois", you're talking Northwestern and DePaul
