Bold plays by the B1G - freshmen ineligibility

Would force all freshmen to sit out a year. Doesn't say if it would burn one of their years of eligibility. How boring would this make college basketball? For a sport that already struggles to hold the country's attention outside of the month of March, all this will do is force the most talented guys to look overseas for professional gigs until they can declare for the draft. I don't really understand the logistics of football and redshirting but I feel like there's really no positive outcome for that sport as well. Honestly I can't believe this is a topic of discussion for the conferences. Are they really worried about the few freshmen each year across the country that are torn to shreds because they weren't "ready"?

Will this make the NCAA more money? If the answer is yes, then it will happen. Otherwise, I doubt it.
