One of the finest coaches and most remarkable individuals in basketball history is no more. For those who only knew him as a commentator or who were too young to remember him at all, I strongly recommend David Halberstam's book The Breaks of the Game. His NBA champ Portland Trailblazers of 1977 featuring Bill Walton and Maurice Lucas played the game the way it was intended. More important, he lived an exemplary personal life. RIP

I could listen to Dr. Jack talk basketball all day.  All day!  The screamers bug the crap out of me, but Dr. Jack knew the game and I always thought that after listening to him, I understood the situation that much more.  God bless him and may he RIP.

Loved listening to Dr. Jack talk about basketball. Nice to see the Blazers get their first playoff series win in 14 years on the night they honored him.

And speaking of tonight's win. Interesting tweet on Lillard's offers when he was coming out.
