Can't think we would announce that she is N if all the ducks were not in a row.

But then there was that kid named Salley...

And that boy named Sue

Clinkscales, the football juco that needed something like 30 credits to get into Nebraska must have done it. I saw he played in the spring game at KSU. Go figure.

Not sure you saw him play. He still is at his juco and has to take summer school to get his degree. He might have been there visiting though.

If she can run and shoot she will fit in fine with Connie's style.  The 6'3'' size is going to be useful.

My question is how did IU & PU miss on her or was she just not interested in them. But Hopeful she can add some punch and depth to go with iot.

From what I have heard is that the first JC she was at (Broward College in Florida) really jerked her around and had her taking underwater basketweaving type classes.  In the article it said she wants to pursue a career in Pharmacology- "jock" classes will not get to where she wants to go in life.  So she moved on from Broward to Vincennes.  At Vincennes she has had a lot of work to make up to be able to move on to NCAA next year.  I don't know if this is 100% correct but she had like 28 credits to take in this current spring semester and this summer to be able to qualify.

I can see schools just not wasting their time on someone that has so much work to do to be able to qualify. Maybe PU is set at that position?  I see at least IU had her in and was interested- obviously she was not interested in them.

Kalenta seems to be a high character young lady, and wants to move forward and improve her life. It would take a strong person to leave her home country and pursue her opportunities in America.

We, as NU fans know ......It's very, very important to UNL that they offer all the opportunities to help the student be successful in school, and life.... not just a given sport.

Yori's said (somthing to the effect) in the LJS article that Hanna is smart, and is a great person, with a wonderful sense of humor......not just a good basketball player.

Just the type of person NU, Connie Yori, and UNL's fans, love as student athletes.

I wish for her nothing but sucess at UNL in her two years here.

Is that even doable this late in the ballgame? That's a heck of lot of credits to amass by next August.

Assuming she counts second semester classes, yes.  I passed 23 the last semester to graduate, and I was fat drunk and stupid.  With all the summer sessions it can be done without too many heroics.

Yeah.  28 credits in a semester and a summer?  Meh.  It might be Vincennes but it's still juco.  If she's serious enough about her academics to leave the Florida juco, she can certainly handle 18 credits during the regular semester and then grab another 10 over the summer.  Easily doable.

I took macro econ, micro econ, stats and algebra (12 credits) one summer at UNL and got straight As.
