Although the attention will be on trying to win our way into the NCAAs this week, the B1G scoring title race is going to be an interesting sidebar to follow this week - I thought I read in the OWH that NU hasn't had a conference scoring champ since such stats have been kept, which has been since WWII.

Four players are within 0.2 ppg of the top.

1. Terran Petteway, NEB 17.9
2. Gary Harris, MSU 17.9
3. D.J. Newbill, PSU 17.8
4. Yogi Ferrell, IND 17.7
5. Roy Devyn Marble, IOWA 17.1
6. Nik Stauskas, MICH 17.1

Petteway has 502 pts in 28 gms = 17.929 ppg
Harris has 466 pts in 26 gms = 17.923 ppg

I don't know whether the league scoring race will extend into the B1G tourney, although I believe it's over at the end of the regular season Sunday.

I'm sure Petteway is completely focused on NU getting wins, but if he wants to drop a couple of 30+ point games this week while leading NU to two wins and kill two birds with one stone, I wouldn't complain.  ;)

Wouldn't it just be calculated using conference games? Or am I mistaken?

That's what I would've thought, but both the ESPN site and the BTN site list the stats/leaders with all games counting.
