Both Emily Cady and Rachel Theriot both with double/doubles tonight.

EC - 10 pts 11 boards

RT - 11 pts  11 assists

That was Emily Cady's  10th double double of the year tying JHoop for league lead in double doubles.

T's play tonight is an example of why athletics are so interesting. Besides being under the weather, T's shot was off. Griesh actually says, paraphrasing: "The ball is coming off her hand to the left. It's the point where you just realize it's not going to get fixed tonight and she needs to stop shooting". And then she proceeds to knock down 4 more 3s!!

I have a question about a ref that called tonight's game, On the radio broadcast when JHoop and Cady both picked up two fouls apiece Matt & Jeff made the comment that that had only happened one other time and the same ref had called the fouls on JHoop & Cady. My questions are this Do the head coaches know before hand who will be calling the game and if so can they voice any concerns about the ref's. And the other one I have is why would a ref at the DI level do that to a team ?

Maybe it was the air current in the gym and she adjusted the wind age and started making the trey's :D

It was nice to be able to pull out a win.  It's amazing how Laudermill has been able to go from a spotty scorer to a go to player almost overnight.  Hope she's able to keep it up the rest of the way.

I wanted to comment on the end of the game. Coach Yori and Hooper both had brain farts.  When Cady was shooting the last free throw with 1.6 seconds left and we're 1 point ahead I was a little surprised to see Hooper lined up in the lane.  There was absolutely no reason for her to be there.  We didn't need the rebound because which ever Wisconsin player got the rebound, there was no chance for them to get the rebound and throw the ball from the lane almost 90 feet.  They wouldn't have time to dribble or wind up to throw it.  And Hooper jumped for the ball and took a swipe at it narrowly missing the rebounders arm.  I've seen ref's call fouls for a lot less than that.  They didn't show a replay so I couldn't see how close it was to a foul.  If a foul was called and the player made 2 free throws, we lose.  Luckily neither one had to explain that poor decision.

i wonder if Yori considered putting Havers in to guard the wisconsin player throwing the ball in? with her length, i would think it could have caused havoc with the inbound play. may have been just a few seconds too many left. it may have been something to really consider had there been less than 3-4 seconds left. just something to chew on.
