Alexis Markowski and Kaylene Smikle were very nearly first-team selections for me, especially with how much of the volume Markowski has shouldered down the stretch of this season.

Alexis Markowski is a First Team All-Big Ten selection by the media and a second-team pick by the coaches. The senior from Lincoln is a two-time First Team All-Big Ten pick.

She is the... first ...Husker to earn four first- or second-team all-conference honors.
