If Purdue went, then I'm assuming we just didn't get an invite. Which is fine by me. I'm from the "no .500? no more fun time!" school of, um, schools.

On a lighter note: Texas. CBI. Bwahahahaha!   How the mighty have fallen.

I don't think it's necessarily the case that we didn't get invited. I know that Shavon left for Kansas City on Saturday. You'd think he would have waited until after the CBI announcement if we would have been thinking about accepting the invitation.

Well if Kabongo plays they are at least NIT bound.  Future Pro gets 8 games to play is what hurt Texas.

Good decision, I think.  The team had fought long and hard enough.

Miles mentioned that he is open to the CBI next year, since Purdue has broken the barrier and we will have a younger team....News flash Tim- We won't need to think about the CBI next year when we are squarley on the NCAA bubble!!!

If we're in the same position next year with only Gallegos leaving, returning a big core, and our court not under construction, I think we would accept the bid.

I don't really think the "First team in the B1G" had a whole lot to do with it....Miles has a history of setting trends.

A lot more to do with running the crap out of these guys all year plus the majority of next year's team not able to play.

Don't like it at all if we were actually offered a bid.  Which may not have happened; interest doesn't necessarily mean a spot.  Games are games.  Not a very good attitude by the team.  Playing late into March is important regardless of the tournament so the players and coaches know how to do it.  It certainly is a different experience having a season extend for a couple weeks.  Tim Miles and next year's players have never been past the first weekend in division 1.

Anybody, anywhere, anytime.

Thats what I thought originally, but after reading the rivals article Miles explained it pretty well.
