Unpaid (NIL) Players to "Donate" $50

Coming from a fundraising background, it doesn't appear as bad as the title sounds.  Sounds like he was asking players to donate $50 to the athletic fund to become a low level member.  It wasn't a requirement per the article.

 

Statistics show that the sooner you can get someone involved and giving back, the more likely they are to become a lifetime donor to something.  

 

Could be off base as I quick read the article, but that's how I took it.
