Besides his 240 hits in the year 2000, Darin also set the record as a leadoff hitter with 100 RBI, well before anyone lead off a game being a power hitter, like what happens now, it seems, a lot. Most leadoffs back then were singles hitters & base stealers. Ersty could do it all.
