HUD Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 Timely update Bugs. I was just looking for some info on her last night but could only find out that the team was 2-0. Now they are 3-0. I did see a little video on one of her games but it was about the team they were playing. Early to tell but she reminds me a bit of Emily Cady in physique and desire for the game. Western Christian (20-4) was paced in defeat by 6-foot-2 senior Ashtyn Veerbeek’s game-high totals of 29 points and 12 rebounds. The University of Nebraska commit scored 18 second-half points for a squad that rallied from a 32-22 halftime deficit to pull within 39-36 when the third quarter ended, then tied the game three times in the fourth quarter, including her basket with 1:05 left........ Veerbeek recorded the 20th double-double of her senior season in the loss. She ended her marvelous four-year career with school records of 1,871 points and 1,122 rebounds. She averaged 25.8 points and 14.4 rebounds per game this season and has been named a first-team all-stater for the third straight season.......... Veerbeek ranked third overall in the state in scoring and tops in Class 2A and was second in 2A rebounding.
