Kind of surprised X hasn't tried the infamous Hack a Happ game plan yet. Better than letting him lay it in over and over.

There's no tying in basketball ... except for the Gavitt Games. The action starts Tuesday - 8-0 would be a nice result. 2018 Gavitt Games (all times Central) Tuesday, Nov. 13 5:30 pm – Wisconsin at Xavier, FS1 7:30 pm – Georgetown at Illinois, FS1 Wednesday, Nov. 14 5:30 pm – Michigan at Villanova, FS1 **6:30 pm – Seton Hall at Nebraska, BTN 7:30 pm – Marquette at Indiana, FS1 Thursday, Nov. 15 6 pm – Ohio St at Creighton, FS1 8 pm – Penn St at DePaul, FS1 Friday, Nov. 16 6 pm – St. John’s at Rutgers, BTN NU History (0-2) 2017 – at St. John’s 79, Nebraska 56 2016 – DNP 2015 – at Villanova 87, Nebraska 63 Series History (series tied 0-0-3) 2017 – (tie) B1G 4, BE 4 2016 – (tie) B1G 4, BE 4 2015 – (tie) B1G 4, BE 4

Brucie is protesting a bit too much - instead of saying you're not going to comment and then going to Twitter to comment, maybe Brucie should try just shutting his mouth. I guess Miles' "Dance with the devil" comment hit far too close to home.
-
I'd counter if it was that easy, everybody would do it. NU's hit rate on that type of transfer -- going from basically non-contributor or underwhelming player at the old school to high-level contributor at NU -- is incredibly high under Miles.

Oh, I'm not so sure. This could've happened on the 28-minute May 8 call. Dawkins: Hi, Greg! The bidding is at $100K and good jobs for Bowen and his family. Is Creighton interested? McDermott: Oh, no. We don't do those sorts of things here. {{{{{ 27: 47 of silence }}}}} Dawkins: You sure? McDermott: Yes. Dawkins: OK. Is it all right if I call you eight more times over the next six weeks and ask the same thing? McDermott: Sure. We basketball coaches have all the time in the world to waste on multiple phone calls when a simple 'no' should take care of it. Talk to you later!

Huh. Weird. The World-Herald said the two teams reset the score at halftime, so the bluebirds won the 2nd half, and that's what was important. First half was more like a warm-up. Somebody must've forgotten to clue in Minnesota on how the scrimmage would be scored ... that the bluebirds decided after the game.

And Shon Morris drops the first "Roby doesn't know how good he can be" of the 2018-19 season. The Vegas O/U for hearing this phrase this season is 128 1/2.

If he just accepted cash, he really blew it. Should've held out for a cash bonus and a lucrative job. Pulling in a check every 2 weeks is the way to fit perfectly into the system. -
Exactly. Current coach = Dirty ... but on the plus side, apparently he's good at employment counseling. Previous coach = Dirty, even when grading on the shoe company curve. Tony Barone = Stereotyping demands that he was dirty. But it's a probably just a huge misunderstanding.

There are a lot of good jobs in Omaha, such as sweater vest salesman, so that makes perfect sense. Nothing to see here.

OWH lists 24 scholarship players who've played HS ball in Nebraska (at one time or another) on current D-1 rosters (and 5 walk-ons): https://www.omaha.com/neprepzone/recruiting/boys-basketball/nebraskans-appear-on-division-i-college-basketball-rosters-to-open/article_fbfc3e1b-7de7-5841-b618-2a996b49274f.html Of the 29 total, 4 are at NU and 6 at UNO, so that leaves 18 scholarship players and 1 walk-on at out-of-state schools - more than I would've guessed. And there's plenty more D-1 talent on the way - great to see Nebraska kids having more and more opportunities. And if we need further proof at Nebraska kids are smarter than average, 0 of the 29 are at that blue school.

I assume they have us winning the B1G Tournament as the #3 seed.
-
I bet he can't wait - I wonder how long it's been since he's had an entire off-season of being healthy and being able to work out fully and lift weights? He has to be feeling as strong and prepared as he has ever felt.

Coach Lewis stopped in to see several in-state players work out at their schools: He saw 4 guys with NU offers - Arop, Hepburn, Sallis & Williams (VC) At the same workout with Sallis were 2020 forward Max Murrell (UMKC offer so far) and 2022 forward Jasen Green https://www.omaha.com/neprepzone/recruiting/boys-basketball/nebraska-and-uno-coaches-have-been-busy-visiting-in-state/article_3be0482b-5cfd-54f5-8c3e-657dc3ffe65c.html
