crazy what minnesota keeps putting out...

wish i was a little wiser with this computer stuff. anyway, on 93.7 the ticket this morning, there was a little discussion of women's basketball. bill busch, who imo is a fantastic addition to the program, is a funny, smart man when it comes to sports. he has an interesting story on amy williams. if you can find the podcast, its around the 25+minute mark. wish i was better with this stuff, but, he gives some food for thought.

minnesota is not good (because of youth)..........however, athleticism shows through. Stewart has a hard time guarding any of them. i would hope coach preached make michaux go to her right. goodness. ummmm.........where is MM? she was rated 32nd in class 6th at her position

a bit of good news maybe? MM will most likely need the bb schollie for next season as there are none available for vb (at least that is what i was told). only way she might get one at nebraska is if a player or two would bail and just wants to concentrate on vb. however, portal is always there (well, not ALWAYS there, but, you know what i mean). with the NCAA tourney being very slim, i would consider giving MM more playing time. find a way to keep her on the court---more than just a handful of minutes. no, she is not built like AM, or czinano but she isn't built like Coley either. and, no negativity towards Coley. illinois has the easiest final stretch. purdue is a bit tougher. i just don't think huskers can afford another loss to anyone.

Zubich to North Carolina

huskers will need to have a hot shooting day to pull off the upset. otherwise, i just hope they perform well and keep it respectable.

i was told many minny fans looking at gophers next game in the category as "very winnable". ummm.....that's against the Huskers. please, don't give minny their 3rd Big Ten victory!

read a column where the writer was told Issie will not return. he didn't give his source......and, the media is always correct (just a little joke at the end, Sam and others)

you might be right with Coley..........although, she seems to have accepted her role. don't remember, but, did she barely crack the top 50? i may be thinking of someone else. just to add, she isn't the one i am thinking of.

some of you know i have been a cheerleader for Williams...........however, i am getting a feeling she may have plateaued. i hope i am wrong but seems like flags are being raised. have a feeling this season may have started the wheels turning in the AD's mind. we've watched how this season has unfolded and it is tough road down the stretch. just like Whalen from minny, next season may be a "make or break" for the coach. i wonder if Goehle and Mays might be in question here........however, Williams is loyal. i do not believe the AD would meddle at all in her assistant coach decision(s). unless you are/have a great recruiter, this season is not helping for the future. i pray i am wrong...........not getting any younger. Green from Illinois would get my vote for "COY" but, probably will be Moren or Bluder depending how things go.

i did not like how the last NW ended up. should give them a little confidence going into that game. Minnesota is not good. Though, the post player Micheaux has found her game. she is turning into a beast underneath. she has had like 7 or 8 double-doubles in a row? she will foul....AND likes to throw her elbows around. anyway, should not lose to NW......i can see the Minny game being a toss-up since it is at Willams. many minny fans have had enough of Whalen. writers seem to want to give her one more year with the talent she has coming in mixed with a few from this years squad. they get a 6'5" transfer next season (Sophie Hart...a player many were hoping she would commit out of hs) plus the injured Holloway should be ready.

i wouldn't be shocked if there is another decision that might be made.

so much depends on the NCAA draw........i think Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, and possibly OSU (depending on Sheldon's recovery) any of them would have a shot at the elite 8. going further than that would be pretty difficult. just sayin'.......all have pretty good talent. would need breaks to go their way.

she has claimed in the past NoCar would be her "dream school". not gonna hold my breath on this one.

btw..........NW has had 3 highly touted recruiting classes in a row. expected NW to be much better.

maryland smoking OSU....headed into 4th quarter. man, OSU looked like world-beaters earlier in the season. i know they lost greene and sheldon (don't think she is back, yet). 69-46 at the writing. not positive, but, think this would be 4th loss in last 5 games? diamond miller is really good, but, up to her floor antics again. list of hot dogs: 1. Czinano has been a huge diamond in the rough for Iowa. she was awful good before Clark even arrived.

anyone else catch the Minny-Purdue game the other night? holy cow, how Rose Micheaux (sp?) from Minny didn't get at least one flagrant foul is beyond me!!! she was REALLY throwing the elbows around. there was one that was really bad and she didn't even get a foul called on her. didn't get reviewed either. don't get it. all on the refs that they didn't call them. smh things are pretty rough in the BigTen. imo, so much so it's hurting the game.
