  1. agree with much of what your saying---------but, huskers are not very deep. especially if you have to look for offense. and some of the passing----and not just from the ones who haven't seen many minutes. my gosh. huskers looked like they had never stepped on the same court before. i'm sure it was tough news for the team about KC, then, learn you will be without RT-------but, still thought they would play better.
  2. agree with matt-------the huskers just looked lost. pretty dramatic drop off with rt down and kc now done for the year.
  3. any concerns with her dropping Cornhusker Shooting Stars and going with All Iowa Attack? just asking...
  4. article is over a week old, but, it was senior night..... http://basketball.dailyherald.com/article/20160210/sports/160219823/
  5. i know the above page states "probable" starters, but, i wouldn't think versyp would start out that small? i am guessing Horrocks(sp?) who i believe is 6'4"-5" would start. probably will see kiesler (6'6") too, at some point. both get minutes. if purdue does go with the above lineup, huskers should have a real good chance at getting off to a good start (looking to feed down low).
  6. http://btn.com/2016/02/18/watch-live-btn2go-offers-rachel-banham-camera-for-sundays-game/ as if the "normal" cameras don't follow her enough-------gotta offer that "Banham cam". geez, if i was the coach, not sure i would be too thrilled with that. anything to try to lure more subscribers, i guess.
  7. as far as sd, usually when big point spreads happen, it is amongst the smaller class of girls bb. i believe the coaches do what they can to keep things from getting way out of control. not really sure if sd has rules for huge point spreads. something i would have to research. seems like i may have seen a few spreads around that 50pt mark---but, not very often. but, i also have to say i don't check all the scores all the time. i can see where a running clock would be acceptable.
  8. i just feel the huskers return to an effort more resembling the msu game. remember, this was the game the huskers had 27 turnovers and still found a way to win--------at Purdue. i really don't envision anything close to 27 turnovers. i believe purdue is +3 in to margin (14-17 for opponents). i knew purdue has lost some games lately, but, didn't realize they were on a 5 game losing streak. purdue will be ready to try to snap that streak, and huskers d will have to keep wilson and perry in check. i know purdue and nebraska has a history of close games, but, i like the huskers to pull out a double digit win in this one.
  9. agree with the part where they have turned it into something that is not even recognizable as basketball. i understand the "blowout" problem, but my gosh, have made it worse.

  11. when i turned it on, huskers were already down by 23, so, i moved on to some other games. went on twitter to check final score and see sam mckewon tweeted something along the lines, "even if they played 10 games..." think we can all finish that statement. i was really hoping they could show me something and keep it under 20.
  12. probably not a good match for allie. most likely will reach a point where coach yori is gonna have to try some different things. i would like to see huskers slow down the possessions. use as much shot clock as possible on the offensive end. don't want to try and get in a track meet with osu. especially at osu.
  13. appears they didn't receive much interest from DI AD's. wasn't it Colorado's AD that they really wanted, but, had no interest?
  14. here ya' go: http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=100&ATCLID=210718667 speaking of posting, wonder if someone could give me some advice. using a macbook pro w/osx el capitan. tried posting an image from my photos the other day. couldn't figure it out, so, i exported it to my documents and tried to post from their by clicking on "image" in this "reply" section. anyway, got a message from this site saying it doesn't support this extension.

  17. the main "fouls" i look at are the ones that occur with someone driving to the basket whether it be a break away or someone drove past her. she's got to learn when to just let it go. too often it ends up with a 3pt play.
  18. i would have jumped all over banham once she got near the perimeter. make her get rid of it. take your chances with someone else. i was being interrupted, but, i believe iowa just had one player trying to pressure her? and, geez, what about the fouls for iowa? didn't they have at least one to give?
  19. allie tries to do too much at times. many times, she will have 1-2 "dumb" fouls. gotta be a little smarter.
  20. looking at the rest of the schedule: still think msu finishes in 3rd at 12-6, and minny ends up 11-7 (w@indiana, losses to osu, msu, and maryland). should be good enough for at least a tie for 4th place. rutgers sits at 7-7 at the moment, but, think we can cross them off (msu, maryland, @purdue, michigan)---i see rutgers losing a minimum of 2 of those games. gives them at least 9 losses. michigan sits at 7-7 (@maryland, psu, @nw, @rutgers) i see 2 losses there. would put them at 9-9. purdue could very well sneak back into the talk---sit at 7-7 (@iowa, @neb, rutgers, wisconsin) not under the realm of possibility they could win out---i think it will be tough for them to win the road games, so i am guessing 9-9, but, wouldn't count them out. huskers sit at 8-6. the osu game will be very difficult, just gotta count that a loss. then have nw, purdue, indiana at PBA. not any sure things left. i think huskers could finish anywhere from 11-7 to 9-9. so, looking at things, i have to believe best bets for ncaa are osu, maryland, msu, and minny. really hoping huskers do not end up in a tie with purdue. due to rpi, probably lose any shot at ncaa.
  21. for a shot at pulling off another upset, huskers will need a complete team effort. Alston, that's was the name i was looking for. she really went off on penn st (3's).
  22. agree. i got to thinking while watching cincore on sunday. she has really come a long ways---just this season. i remember watching her earlier this season and started to wonder if they were really going to get much out of her. really forced things and just looked so out of control. she showed flashes, but, for the most part i wondered if she would really give them good minutes off the bench. both michigan schools have potentially really good posts---allen with msu, and, thome with michigan. nat's 3pt stats (national): 13th in 3pt fg attempts @ 200 3rd (tied) 3pt fg made @ 86 3rd (tied) made 3pt'ers/game 3.44 16th 3pt field goal percentage 43%
  23. for sure. during court action, Powers was asking for the ball (while in front/near msu bench) twice she tried to get it and really got upset and started talking to the coach while play was going on! i'm sure it was along the lines, "they won't throw me the *&^$#@*&$^@ ball!!!" some of the looks on hines, and especially allen's face after jess scored on them were priceless! it was like, "what the heck just happened?!?"
  24. "Hines is built like a shot putter." great analogy huskerchode. nailed that one. saw a number of pics from the game that have been posted. my gosh hines has powerful legs---not to mention upper body strength, too. what was it, 10 turnovers? only a couple really bad ones that i can remember. the lob into the back court that gave green a layup, and, allies toss. that was a head scratcher. they showed a replay of it and the camera angle was right behind allie. my goodness, what was she seeing? powers was right there. allie almost did it earlier in the game, too. allie has had a very good season, but, it is something that still haunts her every now and then. she will make a pass that can make your head spin. so great to see burns back. huskers really need her down the stretch. had a very nice move around the basket. drew the foul.
