  1. For whatever it's worth.... If she needs a knee scoped and the joint "cleaned"....then two of my son's had the same "scope" work done, and it was painless, and recovery was real fast. (about a month, with some therapy after) I was surprised how well it went...both times. So, if it's the same kind of surgery, she should do fine. My oldest son's surgery was several years ago, and he (and my other son) says they can't even tell now....it was done. (no lasting affects...knee is fine) Those kinds of surgeries have been done so long now, and with new technologies...they can do wonders. yes. i think we all hope that is all there is to her injury. i also think i can say that husker fans just want a healthy Rachel-----for Rachel's sake.
  2. great! thank you! i was just curious because, while i did think it could be you, i wondered if it might have been one of your girls who might have had an opportunity of a lifetime.
  3. for being TOO good! http://video.foxnews.com/v/4720608786001/girls-basketball-team-booted-for-being-too-good/?intcmp=hpvid1#sp=show-clips skill level too high. like Tessa McCarthy's comment that stated something along the line "are we suppose to play worse just to make them happy?"
  4. dlrrk, just a question---is there a little story behind your avatar? if there is, would you mind sharing? i guess i look at it and see your pic in the LJS, i am just not sure that is you? family member?
  5. And he has us playing Stanford in the first round, which would be an ideal opponent! Would love to play them the first round. Unfortunately, we will probably get someone dangerous. well, maybe we can look at it this way------if you are a 4,5, or 6 seed, you are really hoping not to get the Husker draw!!! getting a little ahead of ourselves, though.
  6. from here on out, opposing defensive game plans are going to really be interesting. sure, coaches knew jess was really good, but, it may have just been kicked up a notch. it will be interesting to if an opposing coach "sells out" to stop jess and see if the others on the court can beat them.

  9. barring an unbelievable turnaround, i can't see Bobby Kelsey returning next season. pretty sure there was quite a bit of talk about that last season, too.
  10. she was perplexed by Kyndal, I listened to it earlier. looks like someone should have known what she could do even though she hadn't went off yet. with all due respect to KC, if i was coach KBA, KC's offense concerns wouldn't have been at the top of my list either. except for one or two games, it really hasn't been there. defense a different story. yep, coach mentioned she had to pay more attention to KC and Nat and that opened a few things up for Jess.
  11. watched first half and part of 3rd quarter of the wiscy-minny game. looked like wiscy had folded their clothes and packed things up. so, i turned on something else------only to flip back to see what final score might be and wiscy had it down to like 4-5 pts. couldn't believe it. wiscy looked totally lost most of the game. anyway, credit to the badgers for making a game of it after all.
  12. hope this works: Kim Barnes Arico postgame comments...https://soundcloud.com/umichathletics/kim-barnes-arico-post-nebraska
  13. I'm trying to figure out who to give the game ball to. SO many played well but I think Havers gets the call this game. i see what you are saying, but, i just can't look past 35-20. i have to go with Jess-------sorry Allie------Allie did have one of her best, if not THEE best performance as a Husker. as far as Washington and the knee wrap/bandage----noticed that. sheeeeesh, knee wraps, ankle wraps, boots-----wth?!? there's a ways to go yet. if there is some criticism to dole out, it would be about leaving thome wide open too often----especially the times when thome beat every one down the court for easy layups. she must have had 6-8 points that way? she also lost defender(s) around the basket a few times for other easy layups. looked like allie and jess had some miscommunication a time or two. thome is a good one, though.
  14. i noticed rachel had a boot on. most likely not good. i'll take odds she doesn't play against wisconsin. i also noticed refs made some comments to jazz a couple of times--------wonder what that's all about?
  15. absolutely---i just don't get that one. easy to see on video jas didn't know she was even there. michigan player took a step towards jas.
  16. that is a PISS POOR call on cincore!!!
  17. i think huskers can win, but, it just got a lot more difficult.
  18. just a great article! amazing service the Blackburn's have done. also amazing how things sometime just seem to fall in place. huh, surgery for burns after the season? hopefully just something that needs "cleaning up".
  19. yes, odds are this will be a tough road game. gotta be respectable in the turnovers and with second chance opportunities. michigan can score. i did notice thome has fouled out of at least a couple games, so, maybe that will be something to watch. jess, nat, and rachel are going to have to show up on the offensive end, plus, probably going to need another scorer. either allie or clark will need to have a good offensive game, or, huskers will have to up the "bench" scoring (cumulative). flaherty will get some points, but, i think if the huskers can make her really work for what she gets, it may be beneficial as the game goes on. anyone think we may see maddie today? didn't play against rutgers, but, had a few minutes in earlier games. wonder if she caught the "bug" or, maybe had a setback with the injury? hoping just the "bug". then again, i guess it's possible that her practices just haven't gone well. ***didn't read any articles before posting---guess i kinda repeated everything.
  20. illinois is still looking for an a.d., aren't they?
  21. Wisconsin Penn St Michigan Purdue Ohio State Northwestern just wonder if that 2nd travel date in a week will be a little too much for the huskers. would like to see a stat that shows when a team has back to back away games, just how many win that latter game?
  22. http://www.snappytv.com/snaps/wbb_lip_sync_battle_rematch-youtube_sharing_dvkbqs gotta go with Allie and Esther on this one , sorry Nat and D.
  23. possibly two reasons: try and open things to let jess try to dribble drive (though purdue was collapsing on her pretty fast wherever jess was positioned) and/or as tight as purdue was playing perimeter, maybe try and get some backdoors for romeo? otherwise, that is/was a good question.
