believe i stated in another post matt coatney stated need to get to 11 wins to be in a safe zone (paraphrasing). indiana another big game with minnesota looming (@minny). gotta win at least one. minny is my surprise team of the big ten. they have a brutal finish (@MSU vs OSU, @Maryland), but, doing everything right so far to keep in the race (beating Rutgers last night). i know it's all "water under the bridge", but, if AZB hadn't turned pro, i am really starting to think they would have been in the 6-12 range in the polls.

it was practically indiana's version of jekyl and hide. i started watching near the end of the first quarter and, geez, indiana looked like they had never played together before. ball handling was a mess. in the 3rd and 4th quarters, indiana started hitting some 3's and buss was driving to the rim. good possibility iowa just opened the exit door from the ncaa's------i don't think they can absorb another loss, and, they have OSU and MSU coming up. iowa most likely needs a lot of help. can't remember where i read it, but, one big ten coach thinks they will get 6 in, but, someone else stated 5 (it may have been charlie creme in one of his interviews). if you want to rest easy, i would say finish in that top 5.

imo, the only negative on anya is her footwork---it is a bit slow---but, yes, she works hard out on the court and can score.

absolutely agree!!! good to see coach yori use the bench. maddie missed a couple three's, but, she had a couple nice drives to the basket. that was very encouraging. washington looks like she could give some good minutes off the bench now. does nat ever get tired? coach washington sure doesn't look like the washington of past. still chompin' on the gum, though. listened to sports nightly segment before game. greg sharp was talking about psu and mentioned when you talk to "insiders" at psu, they mention the sandusky scandal has hurt other programs---more than you might realize (as far as getting recruits). maybe we are seeing a bit of that with this wbb squad. although, page was a good get. noticed a couple shots of burns-------looks a little more "chipper". good to see. hoping to see her on the floor again, sooner rather than later!

really enjoy sharpy and matt doing football----------but, think his bb broadcasts just may be a step above!

i think we all have everything we can cross crossed! with huskers still "tip-toeing" that line, hopefully the sun shines on their health----soon. really like the team, but, not sure they can reach goals playing 6-7 rest of the way. i am hoping somehow they can work maddie in---get her more minutes. she was looking pretty good before the injury. need help somewhere.

watched minnesota at michigan. thome scored 31 and had 6 rebounds. going to be some fun times when jess and thome matchup the next few years. flaherty had a tough start but finished strong.fairly close till late 2nd quarter where michigan went in at half with a good size lead (10?). minnesota came around late in the 3rd quarter and into the 4th, but, michigan pulled away the last half of that 4th quarter. believe a stat had michigan with 48 pts in the paint at one time---not sure how it ended. minnesota just didn't have an answer. believe banham ended up with 29. hedstrom was the one that was draining 3's for minnesota. noticed iowa defeated northwestern (home). wasn't northwestern (2-8, conference) rated as high as 14 at one time? probably has been, but, wonder if a team rated that high has had a collapse quite like we are seeing? i also believe they were picked 3rd in the bigten preseason? anyway, i still think they could be a dangerous team in the BTT---not to win it, but, make a deep run---but gonna have to pull it together.

ohhhhh. foot. looking at the replay, thought for she might have done something to the knee. didn't notice the boot on, but, she did not appear to be the burns we are used to seeing. hope for a speedy recovery.

i went back to the video of the wisconsin game and checked the point when burns injured, or, reinjured the knee. it did not appear to be a "knee on knee" that jeff griesch reported during the radio broadcast of the game. burns did make contact with the wisconsin player, but, the knee appeared to buckle, or, give way. it was very clear on burns face and you could see her say "OW". the other thing that really concerned me, is, that it didn't appear to be the knee she had wrapped. she gave a quick "hobble" and lifted her bare knee. all we can do is hope for the best, but, we may not see burns for awhile......
