well, i guess if she did transfer to the huskers, isn't this what the guard situation would look like at the time of aldridge's eligibility?: Cincore sr Nat sr Wood sr Simon jr Doyle so Whitish so Cayton so Nicea (can't remember how to spell last name) so providing no redshirts (at this time, wouldn't surprise me if there is one)
-
or Cayton!!! maybe Nicea?!?

here's the teams but no brackets yet http://www.womensnit.com/current-field.html

nice find!

i really wondered if there was much of a chance with the guard heavy class coming in.

i assume the ex-badger coach: https://twitter.com/BobbieKelsey/status/708670899063402496

don't pretend to me an expert on sports injuries either, but, i would err on the side of caution. let jess rest. really don't need her to play in the WNIT. BUT, that's just my opinion.
-
from lauren aldridge twitter message: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CdTxkGpUMAEaEAQ.jpg this must have been a very, very difficult decision for her--------for whatever reason.

believe Cayton is the only recruit left playing? http://stocktonpreps.com/news/675/second-half-surge-carries-rams/

well, wasn't quite a half-court shot, but, was a very deep 3! http://www.varsitykansas.com/2016/03/12/80982/4a-i-girls-wellingtons-lauryn.html

really makes one wonder. i know practically every team deals with some type injuries, but, it sure doesn't seem others suffer from the same type of foot injuries that seem to plague this team? with all the foot injuries the past few seasons, i mean, really------it must be a topic of conversation amongst the coaches and medical staff?

appears jess wants to play should huskers make postseason. http://www.omaha.com/huskers/after-historic-first-season-huskers-jessica-shepard-only-scratches-the/article_595256f4-ca0e-537e-8c23-bbc85a69d5a5.html

related: http://www.kdlt.com/sports/success-runs-in-the-family-for-selland/37890766 Myah Selland had 16 pts and 15 rebounds in a 56-29 loss to Ethan in semi-finals. one of the best bb coaches in sd coaches for Ethan now (has coached both boys and girls to numerous titles). practically had Selland double teamed the whole game----and when she tried to get around the basket, majority of time had ten hands in her face. Selland just couldn't get much help from her teammates friday night. other girls had a tough night shooting the basketball. in Selland's third place game, it appeared they were cruising for a loss. then, the 4th quarter became the Myah Selland show. the game went into overtime. during the 4th quarter and overtime, Selland hit seven shots in a row------including, 5-5 3pt'ers. she had 14 rebounds for the game and 34 pts. the latest article i posted on her did not include any list of schools----just stated she had offers from across the country. i am sure every college in sd has offered her.

just finished watching Assumption defeat Barneveld 62-45 for the title. Barneveld, who's tallest players are 5'9", struggled with the height advantage of Assumption. one of the taller gals from Assumption broke Whitish's two game tournament scoring record ending up with 55 (not sure what she ended up with in today's game). believe they said she is going to Lehigh. Hannah ended up with 24 pts------10-19 shooting. Barneveld had a tough day of shooting (all around). going by announcers, sounded like Barneveld had somewhat of an "off game" shooting the ball. anyway, today, Assumption was definitely the better team. didn't hear how many to's Barneveld ended up with, but, the passing game appeared to really struggle. anyway, will be interesting to see Hannah start a new chapter as a husker!

good read! http://stocktonpreps.com/news/670/cayton-rounds-out-the-rams/

when i watched the Benet Academy (Illinois) game, thought the announcers stated Kathleen Doyle had to be a favorite for Gatorade Player of the Year, but, i see it went to Whitney Youngs Kiara Lewis---------who, i believe is going to OSU.

Barneveld is in Division 5. school enrollment is around 124.

re: Myah Selland (Sanborn Central/Woonsocket) South Dakota State B Tournament my first look at the 6'2" junior. for lack of a better comment, i will steal what the commentators stated: "she has incredible command of the basketball". i would add, she is pretty "smooth" with her ball handling skills/moves. she has such a "mature" build for her age. really stands out compared to most other players on the court. in thursday nights game, her scoring stats were 9-12 in field goals, 1-2 3pters, 5-9 ft's. scored a "quiet" 26 pts. also, believe the announcers stated she was flirting with a triple double. she was "in and out" quite a bit probably because of the comfortable lead during most of the game. much of the time, she would bring the ball up the court, pass off, and then go post up. there were a couple of times where she brought the ball up the court and took it right to the hoop for a layup. one time it was right through a double team and another she put some moves on a triple team and went in for a layup that had you shaking your head. when she had the ball, she faced a double, sometimes triple team practically the whole game. very unselfish player. at the level of schools she is playing, there is no doubt she could just takeover all the duties if she wanted to, but, she looks to get her teammates involved. by the time it's all said and done, myah selland will no doubt be one of the best girl basketball players the state of south dakota has produced. i haven't heard or read the schools she may be interested in, but, someone is going to get a good one.

like mentioned in an earlier post--------i think it would be very wise to shut jess down. between the knee and stress fracture, call it a season. burns? don't know enough about the procedure she is going to apparently have. might be wise to schedule that asap. maybe it's a "minor" procedure and her playing wouldn't be a problem. have to believe they will make the right decision on that one. let the healthy ones take over. especially woody------would like to see her get some well deserved playing time in the WNIT-----for all the hard work and sacrifice she has put in the past couple of years.

anyone know if nebraska showing any interest in this player from colorado? http://espn.go.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/190469/michaela-onyenwere

is nebraska on her long list? i only can read the top list of schools and it cuts off the rest, for some reason. i can see there are other schools listed, but, i can't maneuver the page to read who the others are.

well, i think there is a big opportunity for playing time in front of the 2016 recruits. it wouldn't surprise me at all if AT LEAST 2 carry minutes into the conference season. 1 has a great opportunity to start.
