  1. yep...............she really ruffled minnesota fans when she left. don't remember the exact quote she gave why she left, but, she stated she wanted to go somewhere where you can win championships. she reminds me of a female "geno" a bit.
  2. i have only watched a couple of their games----i would say huskers are going to have to be sharp on both ends of the floor if they want to have a shot at an upset. maryland lost the one player to an acl earlier, but, they are still a pretty talented squad. i noticed in the big ten stats that maryland had 3 players in the offensive rebound category so they must get after the ball following a shot. maryland does have shooters that can score on anyone's court. guessing they had "one of those games" against nw, but, i would think husker fans won't see that type of performance out of maryland. frese will try and have them ready for this game----huskers aren't sneaking up on anyone anymore. side note: (was watching osu-wiscy game; wiscy game them a pretty good run, but, osu's scoring prowess pulled them through. not sure what happen to one osu gal, but, she was put on a stretcher and immobilized and taken away in an ambulance. hope it was just a scare and not too serious. trying to still figure out if osu is one of those teams that just play down to their opponent or what the deal is. if they play like the last couple of games i have watched, might not make it far in the ncaa tourney.)
  3. got a feeling she is gonna have a pretty good sized war chest full of letters with offers before it's all said and done?
  4. nice interview with leigha if you click on wane.com in bugeaters link above. mentions her next move to nebraska---"defense"
  5. oh-----i thought it was a different video. i watched the presser early this am. didn't recognize the pic as being from that presser. memory problems ?
  6. ok, if you got it from huskers.com i will go over there and give it a whirl.
  7. anyone else get "plug in failure" when trying to play the video?
  8. i am not computer savvy enough to know where the problem lies--------but, coach williams illinois presser started out bad, then was able to watch. the presser with nicea and hannah just sucked. i had to finally just give up. ?
  9. did you mean Maryland "games"? Huskers have to go to Maryland. the home game will be difficult enough. i just don't see them winning @ Maryland. Then, add to that, last game of the season, "Senior Day" for Maryland. Sunday will be interesting--------not so sure at Maryland.
  10. teams that have gone this long struggling for that first conference win always make me a little nervous. hopefully the team is focused with the task at hand. don't want to see huskers let illinois hang around.
  11. Sam Haiby and Kayla Mershon have survived the first cut for 2018 Minnesota's Miss Basketball list (top 34)

  14. • Eleven of the 14 Big Ten programs rank among the top 50 in the nation in attendance, including six in the top 25, according to Tuesday’s NCAA statistics report. Michigan State leads the way at No. 8 nationally (6,042 fans per game), joined by No. 10 Purdue (5,937), No. 11 Ohio State (5,557), No. 13 Maryland (5,323), No. 16 Iowa (5,031) and No. 22 Nebraska (3,892). The other Big Ten schools currently among the top 50 in the nation in attendance are Wisconsin (26th - 3,522), Michigan (34th - 3,102), Indiana (37th - 3,052), Penn State (38th - 2,987) and Minnesota (40th - 2,968).
  15. just a little heads up for anyone interested: coach williams will be on with matt coatney tonight @ 6:00pm followed by coach miles @ 7pm
  16. Charlie Creme comments on the huskers: Nebraska: If the Cornhuskers had a better nonconference SOS, they would be in, easily, and not the last at-large bid in this week's projection. They are the hottest team in the country outside the top 20. Nebraska has four top-50 RPI wins, all of which have come in the past four games. If the Huskers keep playing this well, it might not matter; but if they don't make the NCAA tournament, it could be traced to a lack of quality wins pre-Big Ten and a nonconference SOS barely in the top 200.
  17. i'm sure all of you are aware of that saying about playing someone the third time? i would just as soon stay away from iowa the rest of this season ?
  18. huskers sitting with an 11 seed for now http://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/bracketology
  19. glancing at the overall individual stats on the big ten page...."scoring" category: huskers have one in the "top 30 list" and that is hannah whitish. she is tied for 20th averaging 13.6ppg. wouldn't you think for a team that is in the top 3 of the big ten have a scorer in the top 10? or, at least maybe 2 or 3 more scorers in that list, anyway? just shows the productivity they are getting from the whole team. pretty impressive imo.
  20. another statement from iowa's other coach: Coach Fitzgerald remarked that "Nebraska had 3 centers, each with 5 fouls to give, and when the officials don't call anything they have even more". geez-------they must really be mad. ??
  21. looked at that a bit earlier and first thing that struck me was the "minutes" column????
  22. i took this quote directly from hawkeyecentral, but, in a couple other articles i read about the game each of them had taken bluder's comment "every call was going nebraska's way" out. idk, i suppose it is possible whoever wrote the piece for hawkeyecentral misquoted bluder---------------naaaahhhhhh
  23. were whining about refs in men's game too
  24. no, this was a quote from the article in hawkeyecentral.com i tried to find video but must not be up yet
  25. quote from lisa blunder: (i didn't feel like adjusting autocorrect) "I need to apologize to everybody who came out to support us," Bluder said. "We appreciate them so much, and I can't even explain the performance we gave in the first half. Obviously struggled on both ends of the court, and it just felt like everything was going Nebraska's way. Every call was going Nebraska's way — it was just one of those games.
