  1. Didn't we bench Tai for a bit?
  2. Lynch getting suspended is going to hurt us. That's going to be a major downgrade in win quality by year's end. We need to win alot
  3. And hopefully this is the last sign we need. We need to cut the 3 headed monster at the 5 down. Even if it is for just a few minutes a game...we are better served consolidating those minutes. If/when foul trouble arises...so be it...we'll cross that bridge when it comes. We don't play too many 'big' teams the rest of the way. We need to be playing our best players more, rather than the guys who may fit the stereotype of their position
  4. True....but I guess I view have opportunities to make it closer as different than being an opportunity to win. We certainly did have a chance to cut the lead...but we never were really within 10 for an extended period of time the entire second half.
  5. Dont feel like that at all. Of course it wouldve been nice to win, but we fought hard on the road against a good team.
  6. Didnt play well but match Purdue's intensity. Played hard and tough. Just experimented too much early with lineups that dug too big of a hole. Competed well in the most difficult game we have remaining on the schedule. Huge week for us. Wisconsin is a must win and Penn State is a good team on the road which creates a big opportunity
  7. Isolate Roby on Haas on offense
  8. Put. Our. Best. Five. On. The. Floor.
  9. Coincides with when we took our bigs who bog down the middle out. Creates better spacing for us which limits the way Purdue wants to try to play (physical)
  10. Start Borchardt on Haas. 16 minute mark....get the best 5 out there together again
  11. 6-2 advantage in the 3 minutes since we put our best team on the floor, with several very good missed opportunities
  12. It's not rocket science but we make it out to be sometimes
  13. Dont understand our apprehension to put our best lineup on the floor
  14. yep. hes a liability right now.
  15. That was a foul on harms on Palmer's take
  16. Size isn't the issue. It's talent at the 5.
  17. We've only shot 2 and one of them was wide open on a set play.
  18. Correct. Duby is a freak athlete who can make the splash block or dunk..but overall isn't very good.
  19. NCAA trumps NIT. Especially for as success starved as we are. If we have that much potential....the NCAA is the goal and should be expected this year....not next. Plus let's not forget what happened the last time we had high expectations entering a season.
  20. Best part about this year though is we realistically control our own destiny. We technically do every year, but this year if you look at what is in front of us...it's not unrealistic pie in the sky hopes for winning games. We're legitimately the more talented team in probably no less than 11 of our final 15.
  21. 10-8 puts us at 19-12...20-13 with a 1-1 in the conference tourney. I'd be very interested in how many .500+, 10-conference win, 20 win overall, power 5 conference teams have historically been left out of the dance. My guess is not very many. 20 wins would put us in the mid-50s RPI wise.
  22. The conference is down but let's not get carried away...it's still a respected conference. We don't need 13 conference wins to get in. 10-8 with a tourney win would do it. Especially if Minnesota stays strong and NW rights the ship a bit.
  23. The biggest thing that I see when looking at the 5 is that Borchardt at least seemingly understands and fits his role and is thus more efficient. None of our bigs are going to give us consistent offensive production. With Tanner, he's there to do his job and he gets some clean up buckets. Jordy gets the ball and tries to force things offensively at times. He has terrible hands, little touch and can't jump over a French textbook thus resulting in many wasted trips and opportunities.
