  1. Schools being considered: a few ACC and maybe one from Big 12 and Pac 12 http://www.omaha.com/sports/nebraska-native-chatrice-white-to-transfer-from-illinois-acc-big/article_4d0e2954-031e-11e6-96a1-93adb6f26278.html
  2. Bumping this thread so we can see what other offers Chatrice White, Natalie Romeo, and Jasmine Cincore had.

  4. Wouldn't she have to sit for 2 years if she did? Wonder if she will wind up at Creighton.
  5. I hope this link works. This was an awful lot of luck, but it is still fun to watch! From the USD vs Oregon WNIT game...
  6. Did they lose both of those games?
  7. Do you suppose Coach Williams has said that everything is in-house right now, until final decisions are made? I'm assuming Cincore is gone, but am holding out hope for Romeo. And I think there is a decent chance we still get all of our recruits. At least I'm hoping so.
  8. I think they had one player that missed 3 games. Seekamp also had to sit the first couple because of some NCAA thing, but it wasn't due to injury.
  9. I'm very excited to see what Coach Williams will do with our team. I am hoping for an injury-free season. I would not be surprised at all to see Emily Wood getting some decent minutes. I think Coach Williams brings out the best in her players and they want to play as hard as they can for her. Even if Romeo and/or Cincore stay, I think Wood might see the court in her scheme. Maybe I'm just a little biased.
  10. And they pretty much went injury-free for the entire year. Also, if Seekamp was a little bit off her game, it didn't seem to be too much of a worry because everyone was capable of scoring. Several players got meaningful minutes in games, including true freshmen. I know there was a point in the WNIT championship game where they got down by 5-7 points in the first half, and I was afraid it might start to get away from them. But they played even harder and never let themselves get down emotionally, and won the game in front of a large crowd of Coyote fans.
  11. Very disappointed in Jess's interview. Keep that cat fight in-house. That's a huge, unnecessary shot out the door. Have the guts to go tell Romeo to her face if you have that big a problem. Talking to the media about it wasn't a good move. Young and inexperienced, and hopefully a lesson to learn. Jess might find out how fun it is to get triple teamed without the D having to guard a threat like Nat. I might even call Jess's comments "immature".
  12. Article about Jess. http://www.omaha.com/huskers/jessica-shepard-plans-to-stay-with-huskers-excited-for-fresh/article_b57541d4-9635-5139-80cd-87598c718d0a.html
  13. And Romeo provided an example in that she said practices were much easier this year than last year. I don't have a problem with what Romeo said at all. But I am a bit surprised that Jess would make that comment to the media.
  14. I have a feeling that there is definitely something to this one, though. I didn't realize that Azura Stevens has decided to transfer. Thought it was an April Fools day joke when I first saw it. Guess it wasn't. Is Nebraska at all "closer to home"? Why, yes, I do believe Raleigh is in Nebraska.

  18. Hmmm. We had a bit of an interesting conversation back in February. Decided to bump this thread.
  19. I saw that tweet that about Shepard commenting that Nat threw her team under the bus.
  20. Ah, that makes more sense. Not suprised that Brooke has decided to transfer. My gut has been telling me for a while that Taylor will choose Creighton. Maybe my gut had the wrong Kissinger, or maybe they will both play there.
  21. Transferring or committed?
  22. Please feel free to correct me - but I've always had the impression that Nat is somewhat shy. I appreciate that she has spoken up about this situation. She is one of the current players on the team that knows how practices differed from the previous year, and has stated that they were easier this year. In spite of that, she was a top notch player for the Huskers this season and her game improved from her freshman to her sophomore year. We need a leader on this team going forward. If Nat stays, and I'm really really hoping she does, could she be that leader next year?
  23. Happy to hear this and that it happened swiftly. Now, first order of business is keeping our current recruits and players.
  24. Well, if it is Amy Williams, I sure hope there is an announcement within the next few days. I suppose they could be negotiating right now assuming it is her. She won't make as much as Yori, but she should make considerably more than what she makes at USD.
  25. I have heard that Williams is also a candidate for the Arizona job. Personally, I think Nebraska would be a better place to land than Arizona. Do you think the reports of a divided team could cause a coach to pass on the Husker job?
