  1. I do think there are some unresolved chemistry issues. Would have been nice to keep Cayton but I cannot blame her for going elsewhere. Freshman looking pretty good when compared to our more veteran players.
  2. Jess cannot jump to save her life.
  3. Nicea is our best guard. First time I've been able to see them play, and she is way better than the others.
  4. I think we had 25 turnovers to their 9 turnovers.
  5. Hopefully we can keep up the hot shooting. Anybody watching Ohio State/Miami? OSU looks bad. Not sure what is going on with them.
  6. One thing I noticed yesterday is that Washington State gave Maryland a game and lost by 10 at the end. Maybe Wazzu is a bit better than we thought and Maryland not as good as their ranking. Wish we we could find that clutch shooter. Really thought Cinco could have stepped into something like that because she had some good games last year, but it's looking like it is a bigger adjustment to the coaching philosophy than I anticipated. Thinking at this point in time, we could hopefully beat Illinois in conference, but not counting on anyone else. Need to learn a lot in the next month and settle in to the new system. Coach Williams had some good reliable shooters at USD. Not so much with us right now.
  7. I was concerned about this game.
  8. Can someone give me their thoughts on what the issue is with their shooting? Are they just bad shots, bad form, not set, rushed shots, etc? I think we got pretty spoiled there for a while with Lindsey Moore, Hooper, Theriot (who we could always count on to get a bucket), and Romeo. We just don't have anyone like that right now - we don't have that clutch shooter (or ball handler either). We have Kissinger coming in next year and hopefully she can get up to speed quickly, and then the two transfers seem to have good stats, but will we have a ball handler? I agree that Shepard needs to stay inside and keep that inside game established. I always kind of thought that about Chatrice White when she played at Illinois - that she popped out along the perimeter way too much. That might be an OK thing to do if our guard play was more of a scoring threat, but as it is right now, our inside game is going to have to carry us for a while.

  10. Can't throw the ball in the ocean tonight.
  11. Well, there's this little tidbit out there. Sure, we only won our exhibition by 2, but we went deep into the bench, and we have a new coach. Illinois' starters played over 30 minutes each, and still lost their game.
  12. Thanks for the updates. I couldn't listen in the second half due to data limitations.
  13. Sounded better second quarter. But I feel we should be blowing them out at this point and I don't think we are. Hopefully we will second half.
  14. Listening to broadcast. Hopefully things start coming together soon, because it doesn't sound the best.
  15. What I hope to see is everyone staying as healthy as possible, and improvement as the season goes along.
  16. I would agree. It could very well be a rough year. Sounds like ISU played the bench a lot and we still got beat easily.
  17. Hopefully we won't have another boot gate.
  18. I could see both our seniors starting - Allie and Esther, and then Jess, Emily, and Jas. I would expect to see everyone who is eligible and not injured on the court at some point during the game.
  19. I see diaper bags are on the that list. I should create a clear diaper bag and market it.
  20. My elderly mother, who doesn't get to Lincoln much at all, had sharp words for a PBA employee asking to look into her purse when we attended LPS graduation ceremonies this past May. "Nobody is going to tell me what I can and cannot have in my purse!" as she tried to maneuver past the employee using her cane. Fearful that she may hit the employee with her cane, I calmly said "Mom, please open the top of your purse and everything will be fine." But I heard about it for a good 2 hours after that. LOL
  21. Wow. This is really bad news. Hope the surgery helps her heal and she is tip-top for next season.
  22. University of Nebraska employees (all campuses) received email from President Bounds this morning supporting free speech.
  23. Any chance our transfers will be granted immediate eligibility?
  24. Payton Brotzki of Platteview HS in Nebraska is currently ranked #36 in class of 2018 by ESPN. http://www.espn.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/224851/payton-brotzki
