My elderly mother, who doesn't get to Lincoln much at all, had sharp words for a PBA employee asking to look into her purse when we attended LPS graduation ceremonies this past May. "Nobody is going to tell me what I can and cannot have in my purse!" as she tried to maneuver past the employee using her cane. Fearful that she may hit the employee with her cane, I calmly said "Mom, please open the top of your purse and everything will be fine." But I heard about it for a good 2 hours after that. LOL

Wow. This is really bad news. Hope the surgery helps her heal and she is tip-top for next season.

University of Nebraska employees (all campuses) received email from President Bounds this morning supporting free speech.

Yes, I know it is a ways away. But I saw the other day that a sophomore from Lincoln Southwest High School picked up an offer from South Dakota State. I think it is her first D1 offer. Her name is Hannah Kelle, and she is a 6' shooting guard. Still has a few years to develop. Might want to keep an eye on her. I have a feeling Taylor will fit in with Williams' system a bit better than with Yori's system. In fact, I'm hoping to see everyone get playing time this season so that I'm not constantly wondering why certain people never get to play much. Looking forward to this season and the years beyond!

Is there any word at all on 2017 recruits? I keep reading about other teams picking up verbals from 2017 players, but have not heard anything about NU getting any verbals.

Bummer. Lots of BIG10 schools on there, but not us.

I had 2 good seats behind the bench about 5 rows up, but I'm moving out of state in August so I won't be renewing them. Hopefully the new season ticket holder enjoys them as much as we did.

Interesting - I attended both as well. Still cheer for the Huskies occasionally, except in volleyball. I despise their VB team.

She first played for her dad at Bellevue East and I believe started as a freshman. Then her family moved to Fremont where she played with Jess. I would consider her a smart player, being a coach's kid that hung out at practice while growing up. Athletic girl as well (my daughter played soccer with her for a while) and I believe she also played VB. She's a hard worker and competitive.

5-10 point guard. Willing to give this girl a chance!
