Murray St. (6-3) vs. Nebraska (7-2) Game Thread

Anyone going to Hawaii? I went the last time we played in the Diamond Head Classic. We never really took a trip over Christmas so we decided to get some sun in December. It rained most of time we were there. (expect for the afternoon when we arrived and of course the day we left) Stayed in the same hotel as the team and talked to Coach Miles a little and it was kind of fun running into the players. If you go, snorkeling at Hanauma Bay is a must. Even if it rains! -

Illinois couldn't quite pull off the upset and gave up a driving layup at the buzzer to Tennessee after an 88% ft shooter made one of two to tie it with six seconds left. -

Lots of Big Ten hoops this afternoon. The good: Harper of Rutgers hits a three at the buzzer to beat S Hall after he and Bailey missed four straight free throws down the stretch UCLA beats Arizona Wisconsin wins at Butler The bad: Purdue loses at him to TAM at home Ohio State gets blown out at home by Auburn -
Indiana shot it much better than their norm for most of the first half so we couldn't pull away and the Rice kid was on fire which prevented us from pulling away and finally we did pull away at the end. Nice win and obviously Brice was outstanding but the turnovers were frustrating. I find it odd that coach went out and got Meah and Berke to help control the glass but opted to go small down the stretch thinking we could out score them, which we did. Our depth helped us tonight.

Creighton Prep has a pretty good big guy by the name of Trinell Parker. He is 6' 9" and handles the ball okay, pretty good footwork around the basket, has a nice frame to put on weight, but I'm not sure if he has an outside shot. He is a Senior I believe.

I think a lot of people believe we will win all 3 games in Hawaii, which will be tough. I think we can beat all the teams in the tournament, but because it is a tournament it will be more difficult than if those games were spread out like in the regular season.

Creighton beats #1 Kansas by 13 in Omaha, and we beat Creighton by 11 so............ -
I said the same thing about GG being an X factor earlier. I like our team, but would really like it if we had another shooter off the bench. Connor and Brice have proved they can hit 3's. I don't expect Connor to be this hot every game, especially when defenders get more athletic in the Big Ten, thus the need for another shooter. Gary will knock one down once in a while, Sam might be starting to come around again like his Frosh year but his size limits him so we are back to GG. If GG does not find his stroke do you burn Janowski's redshirt? How long to you give GG to get it going from the arc before you go to Jano? I'm guessing coach will not burn the redshirt and ride the team he has. The problem with the redshirt in today's world is it often gives that player another year.........with another team.

Big win for Sparty in OT over North Carolina Rutgers couldn't quite get it done against Alabama. Harper had 37 for the Knights. -

I was wondering the same thing. I don't think it was part of a tournament. This is why P5 teams don't travel to mid-major schools. -
