I believe he put his name in last year and pulled it out. Odd he hangs around this long and leaves the year Kalkbrenner leaves.

Yup. One thing I have noticed the little I have officiated is that every play looks different. You try to be consistent but it is not that easy and sometimes it is just a quick reaction without being able to think it through. I think the goal of every official is to let the kids decide the game without letting it get out of control, which in today's game, is tougher than ever. The game is so much more physical that it use to be. If you get a chance go back and watch some college ball from the 80's and compare it to today as far as ball pressure, hand checking and post defense goes.

Must be a Senior with another year left. Maybe the NCAA excluded the Nebraska game and figured he did not make enough shots in the other games to justify it as a full season and gave him a year back.
