We've walked 5.5 batters a game, and struck out over 11 times a game. Our opponents have only struck out 7 times a game, and walked 2.5 batters.

Why not add baseball to the list? I know I said I wouldn't worry until Big 10 season. Now, it's getting close to time to worry.

By contrast, TCU pitchers have 0 walks or HBP's.

9 walks and 2 HBP's by our pitching. Absolutely awful.

The silver lining is we seem to have fixed our fielding. Now, to fix the pitching and the hitting.

Walks and HBP are the Achilles heel of this pitching staff this year.

Our starters have a 10.69 ERA and average 3 1/3 IP. That is not going to cut it.

Perry had arguably the best outing by a starter against TCU. Maybe McCarville against Sam Houston State, but we actually had bats to back him, and he had a big lead. I think Perry started to turn it around. Shay has not. They started us off with a 1-0 count in the 4th. We could start with a 3-0 count, and still fail to score a run.

I think the rotation may look quite a bit different next week. I'd imagine Perry, Frank, McCarville, and bullpen.

The ? was could Fred's scheme work. It wasn't if it would work next year, with the players we have coming in or back. All those players I named went to Nebraska in the last 7 years. So, realistically, they would come to play here, and I think we would have a very good team with Fred as a coach.

Imagine replacing Walker with Roby. I bet it would make the scheme look like a well oiled machine. There's a reason Roby is getting playing time in the NBA. Here's an interesting observation. Bohanan was a Freshmen when Glynn was a Sophomore. That made me do a triple take.

Should have been a minimum of a double technical. Bryce had a little shove, but Bohanan slams the ball into Bryce's leg.
