Last week 30 hit batters plus walk in 31 1/3 innings. 18 earned runs in 14 innings out of the bullpen. This week 14 in 27 innings. 13 1/3 scoreless innings from the bullpen. Throwing strikes works wonders.

No way did we only walk 8 batters and hit 3 batters. It felt like 50. BTW, the record is 20.

If I were Bolt, I would have scrimmages. If you as a pitcher, and can't throw strikes, you aren't getting any innings this weekend. That was dreadful. I have no idea what the school record is for walks and hit by pitches, but we should have set it today.

I thought he and Wilhelm were huge in the 1st half. I think Maryland had 8 offensive rebounds early in the 1st half. I felt Wilhelm and Keita cleaned up the boards once they came in the game.

We are 5 - 10 against tournament teams according to bracket matrix. If we can win our final 3 + 1 in tournament, we should have something to watch on Selection Sunday. Right now, Wisconsin is the last team in according to the bracket matrix and they are 76 in the NET according to Warren Nolan.

So, 11 foul calls total in the 1st half. Nebraska with 6 in the 1st minutes of the 2nd half. Walker with a foul boxing out with the Maryland guy grabbing his shoulder.

Just some jabbering. According to Greg and Ben, Sim did some dancing about halfway up the 3rd base line. Caron didn't care for it. Sim then was talking to the Husker dugout, where the umps had to get him into the San Diego dugout. The umps talked to Bolt and most likely wrote Caron up. The next half inning still talking to the Husker dugout.

Now 5 - 2. Need to quit making the 3rd out at 3rd though. Of course, I will trade the outs for 5 runs in the 1st 2 innings.

This offense is beginning to feel like last year. We cannot make contact. Hopefully, it's lack of being outside. 16 k's in 15 innings is not good.
