  1. 7th inning stretch tied at 1. Time to put a crooked number up.
  2. He reminds me alot of Jake Meyers. Not overpowering stuff, but can get hitters out.
  3. I think he's earned it.
  4. He has got alot of swings and misses. However, this ump's strike zone is atrocious. Matthews is rung up at a pitch at eye level.
  5. Not looking good today on offense. Probably doesn't help the strike zone is gigantic. Fischer called out on a pitch a foot outside.
  6. We have missed golden opportunities today. Hard to fault the offense with the way we have been hitting this year. Bases loaded 1 out in the 1st inning, ground into double play. 1st and 2nd 0 outs in the 4th inning. Double play and fly out. Bases loaded 2 outs in the 7th inning. Walk gets a run, but that's all.
  7. Olson, Kaminska, and pray for the bats to smacksa.
  8. Next weekend, we have a good chance to come away with 0 losses. We needed a little more rain today.
  9. Make that 6 -11 scoring 7 runs
  10. Make that 5 - 10 with 2 outs scoring 6 runs
  11. Illinois 4 - 9 with 2 outs scoring 5 runs Nebraska 0 - 4 with 2 outs obviously scoring 0 runs
  12. Olson and Kaminska combined are 7 - 1 with a 2.61 ERA All other starters combined are 1 - 2 with an 11.14 ERA Relievers combined are 3 - 4 with a 5.22 ERA I'm not saying our whole pitching staff needs to pitch to Olson and Kaminska numbers, but get us in the low 4 ERA's we're going to win a bunch of games. Most frustrating part of our pitching staff is the inconsistency outside Olson and Kaminska. Shay pitches lights out against Vanderbilt. Struggles against Omaha and Nicholls. Garza is lights out against South Alabama and Omaha. Can't get out of the 2nd against Nicholls. Brockett had issued 1 walk in 10 2/3 innings. Walks the bases loaded in the 1st and gives up 3 runs in the 2nd. It's really hard to form a pitching staff when you never know what your getting.
  13. Well, when you have nothing in the bullpen, it's kind of hard to make very many moves.
  14. Shay would probably be the only other option, but that is not much of an option.
  15. Sometimes he hate this game. We absolutely hammer balls in the last 3 innings, and we get one run to show for it. Pressed our luck with Walsh one too many innings. Should have went to Bunz to start the 9th. To compound the loss, it comes to a bunch of douchbags.
  16. 1st baserunner allowed by Walsh on an error by Matthews. 2 fly outs end the 8th inning.
  17. Max hit it too hard. Carried to the LF.
  18. Walsh has retired 14 straight since coming in the 3rd. Throwing his name into the starting hat.
  19. Hit the ball hard that inning, but only get 1 run.
  20. We had 3 road games St John's (Gavitt game) Creighton (rivalry game), and K-State (in KC 3 game series with K State). What if we won against St John's and 1 more in the holiday tournament. We would be 18 - 14 and probably in the NIT.
  21. Really need a Sunday and mid week starter to step up. A few series we can't afford to not sweep. Have to win all mid week games.
  22. I enjoy seeing the score of the Creighton women's game in the picture.
  23. So, Nebraska had countless injuries where the ball was in the backcourt, and the refs don't stop the game. FAU is driving to the basket and the Memphis player is at half court hobbling to his bench and they stop the game.
