  1. I guess since the ref said they were legal, they were legal, but they were illegal because he crossed the line both times.
  2. It's amazing how many times Wisconsin starts fouling when the game is way, way, way out of hand. Something that annoys the heck out of me, if you haven't called them for fouls most of the game, why start now? Just get this over with. Actually the only reason is to make the fouls look even.
  3. I figured this was going to happen tonight. There is no way after playing everybody the last 26 minutes, getting a 2 day turnaround, and traveling to Madison, this team was going to have a chance.
  4. Another exaggerated stat is the fact that Wisconsin has 6 fouls. There is not a chance in hell that is the case.
  5. Evans' FT was the biggest lane violation I have ever seen, and NO call. You obviously haven't watched much junior high basketball. That's what makes it worse. If you are an NCAA ref and the FT shooter CROSSES the line BEFORE THE BALL HITS THE RIM it is a lane violation. If you are a ref at this level that is the most obvious rule, and they failed.
  6. Evans' FT was the biggest lane violation I have ever seen, and NO call.
  7. Everyone says that Nebraska shoots a bunch of 3's and that's why they don't get fouls. In conference play, NU has attempted 18 more 3's than their opponents, yet their opponents have attempted 104 more FT's than Nebraska.
  8. I live 3 hours from Lincoln, and I am sure my juvenile behavior was heard by everybody in the Devaney Center tonight.
  9. Officially, yes they did. Unofficially, if the jerseys would have been reversed, at least one of those "swats" would have been called "goal tending" and several others would have been called "fouls." But, OK, yeah, the box score shows they had 10 blocks. I agree with you. IMO Ubel got fouled at least 2 times on those "blocks"
  10. Parker - Another bad game with bad decisons. Only getting playing time out of need. Hurts us time and time again on defense The only disagreement I have is that Parker hurts us on defense. Actually, when I watch him he plays pretty good defense. I didn't see who he guarded most of the night, but Appling finished 3-11, and hit most of his buckets in the first 8 minutes before Parker got in the game. The thing I like is the fact that we don't turn the ball over. Only 7 TO's tonight with a SG playing PG. I looked at the stats and listening to the 42-24 rebounding margin sounds bad. However, MSU had 12 offensive rebounds and we had 11. What made the rebounding sound so bad was the fact that MSU shot 51% and we shot 35%.
  11. It actually is a good headline since MSU blocked 10 shots.
  12. Good thing Ubel is gone. The guy just kills momentum in crucial spots. You know what really kills momentum in crucial spots is Rey clanking 3's all night. We CANNOT have Rey go 0 for 13 from the field and 0 for 10 from 3 and expect to win many games.
  13. They made 2 FG's in about a 20 minute span, starting with 13 minutes left in the 1st half. That is NOT good!!
  14. Nebraska could have 3 players average in double figures in scoring for the first time since 2005-06 when Wes Wilkinson, Jason Dourisseau, Aleks Maric, and Joe McCray all averaged double figures. Talley and Ray look like locks having to score a total of 5 and 2 respectively in the last 8 games. Ubel has to average 4.7 points per game down the stretch to score double figures.
  15. Blamed Ubel for everyone missing out on Runza's because of his missed FT's.
  16. Miles in his postgame: "I looked at the team and they looked tired. I asked them, 'What are you tired for? Hacking them on the arm!'"
  17. Nebraska was 32-41 from the free throw line. PSU was 23-32 from the free throw line. Do not have a combined total for free throw attempts in the Sports Center, however Nebraska attempted 59 free throws against Texas in 1996. Oklahoma State had 52 free throw attempts in 1990.
  18. Why's everyone booing? They have a chance at Runza's!!!!
  19. Is someone going to tell Matt that Iowa won their 4th game today?
  20. We are 26-33 from the line. Do we have enough to get Runzas!!!! PSU is 21-27 from the line.
  21. 11 assists on 14 made FG's is a pretty good night.
  22. Who wants to ask Miles if he wants to rethink his whole hand check foul calls?
  23. They make us look like deadly sharpshooters!!
  24. I just hope the 9 fans left before the under 4 TO to beat the traffic!!!!
  25. Nebraska players in foul trouble: Andre 3 Ubel 2 Talley 2 Rivers 2 Shields 2 Gallegos even committed a foul. PSU went 13 minutes with 1 FG, including 11 minutes with 0 FG's, and shot 17 FT's, making 14 of them during that stretch. We have to stop looking like we foul if we want to win this game.
