Please, please, please if you go to the game, unless we are losing by 15 points in the final 2 minutes, do not leave early. Miles made it a point to call TO last game to give the team a message that the fans are leaving early because you didn't give a great effort. I know all the people on here will not leave, but I wish we could get that message across.

I have my own qualms with the call in the fact that it should have been a FOUL ON PSU!! I didn't know you could rake at the guys arm until he loses the ball.

I thought that was the rule. That if it was unintentional it was nothing.

Benny played better today. His defense helps a bunch. If he can get a shot that makes people guard him he still could get some minutes. Look at Rivers. He was awful last year shooting, but seems to have some confidence and at least makes people guard him.

According to live stats, Shields finished with 29 points. 1 off the school record for a freshmen.

It didn't hurt that PSU went 1-6 from the free throw line down the stretch. Our free throw defense was amazing the last 32 seconds!!!

So, grabbing a guy's arm and trying to strip the ball, and Ubel gets the flagrant foul with no call on PSU.

Miles doesn't tweet at halftime. Shamus Mcknight does. Under his name which he has to give the OK. It's no different than a coach talking to a TV reporter about what he saw in the first half. He says something that takes 10 seconds to tweet, so you can imagine how long it takes to say. I know that 5 seconds that he spent saying it was the worst defense we've played all year cost us the game.

I was wondering the same thing, but if Rey and Dylan do not start shooting better we aren't winning a game. Again, it is that simple. They are combining to shoot 31% from the floor and 21% from 3 in conference play. Those MUST go up if we have any hope of winning multiple games in this league.

He played very poorly tonight, and needs to make shots from the outside to get minutes. I do think the injury has something to with it, but if he doesn't work on his shot during the off-season, he will see much less minutes next year.

I think Miles wanted to slap him from the sound of his voice. Like, are you kidding me?

The trapping they were doing will be great when we have more depth. We were causing havoc, but it killed us down the stretch. Tyrance is a good worker, but I don't think he's going to be much except mop-up duty next year.

So, Kent calls out Rivers and Andre as not being the guys to help Shields and Jordan. Kent, Ray and Talley couldn't hit the water if they fell out of a boat. They were the guys that should have been called out. They have to shoot BETTER if NU wants to win in the Big 10. It's that simple.

You can't count on a freshmen and a walk-on player to lead the team. Tonight Talley and Gallegos need to be called out. It worked for Andre. He looked much more involved.

Hammonds has got away with so many fouls tonight that he probably shouldn't be allowed to play the rest of the season.

It must be tough to be 7 ft tall and be able to travel and tackle the other teams players.

The ref I think gave the FT shooter a warning, but that is never called. It's even worse after a guy gets fouled, and the player takes a practice "3-pointer." Which by definition would be a technical too.

We really lost the game because our free throw defense let us down. They seemed to be missing a bunch of free throws early, but made most of them down the stretch.

I do understand that he might just not be good, but just his length would have to make it a little more of an obstacle for Nix than Tyrance and Rivers were offering down low. If he really was not a good enough to start the season, and you knew he was not good enough, than why play him? Why not redshirt him? If your not going to give him any meaningful minutes this year, it's a lost year. We go into next year with a 6'7" forward with the most experience for a post player.

Ubel is 8-9 at the line. The rest of the team is 10-22. I'd say maybe Ubel should be shooting FT's.

We play so stupidly at times. Fouling with a 6 point lead and 45 seconds left.

This team has absolutely no hope in the Big 10. We can only hope we shoot lights out a couple nights and steal a couple games. This team is NOT good at all.

I'd foul the rest of the game if I were Nicholls State.
