  1. I was hoping we would score 39 points in the entire game. This team plays way too much to the crowd. If shots are falling, they feed off that energy. If shots are not falling, it is a struggle.
  2. I'm hoping he's just winded. Played 16 minutes in the first half.
  3. Terran couldn't overcome temptation. He just needed to pull back, and get in a play.
  4. That's a little overreaction. That was his first really bad play this year. His technical last game was outrageous. Biggs kept missing team meetings last year. It isn't the first bad thing he's done this year, though, and his attitude this year hasn't always appeared to be the greatest. If we're going to be like that, Petteway should be gone, too. He has cost the team at time with his attitude. Walt's attitude since the Inarcante Word game has been much improved.
  5. I was going to say something, but didn't want to sound like I was whining. It was a foul on the MSU player that started it. Walt does have to keep his cool, and maybe poke him in the eye. That's how Iowa does it.

  7. You do have to credit Tai and Benny for their 2nd half. Granted, Minn. was more careful when setting screens, but they shadowed Hollins that entire 2nd half. He had no room. I am confused by Jackson calling out Tarin for poor closeout on a three point attempt with about 2 minutes left (I think). They missed the shot. I though Tarin did a good job by forcing the guy to reload and dribble. When he caught the ball he closed out after him. I think if Tarin doesn't close out when he catches the ball he makes that shot.
  8. It was for contact after the whistle.
  9. Tai wins the GATA belt, voted by the players. Hopefully, this gives him some confidence. Walt's technical was awful. I guess he got it for contact after the whistle. Mathieu continued the play after the whistle. Actually, it was Mathieu's actions after the play that caused the refs to go to the tv. He got up and tried to get into Walt's face, when Walt was trying to help him up. That's when the game changed. The refs started getting whistle happy after that. Very inconsistent. Shields' technical was crap too. He made no point to show up the ref and was walking back (probably saying something), the ref stared him down the whole time. Kind of like the ref did when Miles got the t against Wisconsin.
  10. He told Miles it was for unsportsmanlike conduct. I guess it is sportsmanlike to yell "Boom" when giving said technical.
  11. You can thank TV for that. The Big 8/12 was able to play at those times because they would have regional games on Saturday, and Wednesday nights, would have no TV.
  12. We have to be the worst offensive team in the Power 5 conference. Imagine if we played ourselves on defense. I don't know if we would score. Depends on the refs that would call the game. If these clowns did it, they would score. We might not have any players left after they called "boom" technical fouls on everybody for talking to the floor.

  14. Especially on Hollins. I don't recall him getting a clean look when Tai was guarding him.
  15. If we see these guys again, it will be too soon!!
  16. Whew!!!! That was too close for comfort!! Good strategy of letting them run out the clock.
  17. With all the fouls called in the 2nd half. How is that not a foul??????
  18. Tai and Benny have shadowed Hollins this 2nd half. He can't get an open look.
  19. This game turned when Pitchford got the technical. Ever since then every trip down the court has been a foul. Seriously, Jackson what is a foul, now? Minnesota body checks Smith on the way to the hoop, no call. Tarin Smith grazes a shooters arm (I'm still not sure he touched him), and a foul. Leslie goes around a player who falls down, and he gets called for a foul.
  20. What makes it worse when the ref made the phantom foul called he watched Shields ALL the way up the floor instead of announcing the foul. Like he was waiting for him to say something to the floor.
  21. He tried to help the guy up and the gopher got in his grill. Walt was the calm one as Bugeaters said. It was Mathieu that deserved it more.
  22. They were doing good until that BS technical on Pitchford.
  23. I'm surprised he didn't with these horse**** refs!
