Creighton (6-2) vs. Nebraska (7-2) Game Thread

Who is in whose head. Greg McDermott is a jackwagon!! -
Clemson with a chance to help us, but Mississippi State is 18 - 29 from 3.

What I don't understand is everybody is up in arms about our offense. Minnesota did the EXACT same thing as us, only it looked better because Minnesota didn't play the ole defense we did. Coffey just took Palmer to the lane, drew a foul, or made the shot.

That was not even close to a charge in any sport of basketball. This charge/block call is one of the worst officiated calls in sports (especially college basketball) Pemsl was moving when contact was made. How is that a charge? Nebraska needs to take an acting class on flopping. That is why we never take a charge. Because when we try we take it, we don't act like we got bulldozed by an offensive linemen. Pemsl would have gotten his clock cleaned, and he should have received the tech. I have no idea what Jacobson did outside of jawing at Iowa. Pemsl comes over well after the play and shoves him.

I was trying to say that even the 1 team can struggle with the bottom 5 on the road. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J327A using Tapatalk -

Northwestern took Michigan to the buzzer at Northwestern. We need to learn from this and figure out how to finish games on the road. -

Palmer struggled tonight. He is in a tough position when they call games like tonight. His 2 charge calls were iffy at best. After the 1st one, Murphy goes down, lowers his shoulder into Roby, and nothing is called. I bet we have to lead the nation in charges called against us, especially compared to the amount of blocks called on the other team. Having said that, we have to play through that. We seemed to stop running any offense down the stretch. We didn't switch to zone on defense. We need to hold serve at home and win a few road games. It's going to be a grind. Michigan survived Northwestern on the road, and Michigan was stomping everyone. Of course, last year, we went to Minnesota, and had one of our worst defensive performances of the year. We played very well on offense, and got the victory. This loss hurts because we should have won. -

It's the pet peeve of mine again. No idea what a foul is or is not a foul. One trip you brush a guy, it is a foul. The next trip you get to tackle the guy with no foul. The blown goaltend. For all the rough calls, we needed to go to zone. We got outcoached. -

We lost our poise after a couple calls that went against us. We have to battle through those calls. Plus, no zone? Why? -

Palmer with the near steal gets thrown into the bench, and Minn ends up with a basket. -

So, a coach can yell in a ref's face, but doing a travel signal is a tech? -

Their rewarding floppers. If we would act like we were shot when Murphy went in for the dunk right after Palmer's foul, we probably get a call. -

They stopped the game for some reason. Once they stopped it, it became a media TO. -

It's tough when it felt like all points were from the free throw line. -

Illinois is grabbing and hacking. They should have about 50 fouls today. -

Taking out the circle would help. It seems the refs are just making sure the defender's feet are outside the circle. Not whether or not the defender is set. -

That was horrible. The Illinois player was nowhere close to set when Allen starts his shot. -

#15 for Illinois commits a moving screen every trip, but hasn't been called for 1, yet. We are going to need stitches on our arms from all the slaps Illinois does.
