  1. I like the idea too of having a Lloyd/Wilcher backcourt with a frontline of Wilhelm-Keita-Walker. Hopefully we’ll have lots of pieces to mix and match & not get stuck with 3 guys on the Court that each weigh about a buck eighty…
  2. That’s the biggest thing to hit Jewel County since the Tumbleweed Bar closed in Burr Oak…
  3. I’ll take your word for it, I’m just relaying what was told to me. That being said I think it’s safe to assume Sam will start…
  4. It took me awhile to catch up with my friend (death in the family etc) but here’s the main takeaway: The First Team was, Blaise, Walker, Griesel, Gary & Bandoumel. Looks like Fred is ready to Go BIG or Go Home. Wilcher, Briedenbach look very differently physically than last season. Lloyd is as polished as we’ve been told & for whatever it’s worth, the guys really seem to get along & LIKE each other.
  5. Fourth of July Scrimmage: Blaise Keita: as good as advertised, a Grown A** Man! Gary: Strong to the hole, tough on ball defender. Bandoumel: Better shooter/ball handler than expected. Lyod: Very smooth, definitely in the mix for major minutes. The BIGGEST take away is this though, your starting 5 was Blaise, Walker, Gary, Bandoumel, Griesel. Your first player to “flip” sides was Briedenbach for Walker.
  6. I’ve been back for awhile Cip, the article laments the loss of the Regional charm College sports had, and how it’s become less interesting because of it…
  7. There’s a GREAT Op-Ed in the New York Times today written by an IU alum how this is all bad, really bad…
  8. That seems to be the Conventional Wisdom these days but having Walker drag his defender out to the foul line will open up a lot of angles for Gary, Lloyd & McPhearson.
  9. I’d be happier if he could knock down 15 footers consistently. Those would go a lot farther towards Wins then “D” jacking up an occasional 3…
  10. The only “Tall Boys” I’m familiar with are of the PBR variety…
  11. Keisa looked like he was always rushing his shots last year. Either because he was afraid he couldn’t get it off, or afraid he’d be back on the bench if he didn’t produce.
  12. Hey, we knocked off the B1G Champions, on THERE Court. We don’t sweat anybody in this League, bring it…
  13. I think we’ll be surprisingly GOOD, & Lloyd will be our breakout Freshman Star.
  14. I took the price reduction to Pre-Covid levels as a “Thank You” for helping us out with the budget last year & “We’re Sorry” for the on court performance.
  15. Probably won’t talk to my buddy who attended until over the weekend. Stay tuned…
  16. Husker scrimmage tomorrow!
  17. I believe our AAU status was dropped when they wouldn’t let us include the UN Med Center in Omaha.
  18. From smart people I’ve talked to, you better buy those Juwan Gary jerseys now before they sell out…
  19. Plus you hold (permanent) records for Winning like 33 years of 9+ Wins & that remarkable 60-3 run that will never be broken. That’s forever Street Cred…
  20. Played with many teams, I even seem to remember he had a cup of coffee with the Timberwolves.
  21. The teams having an intrasquad scrimmage on the 4th, can’t wait to get the low down on who stands out…
  22. I found it charming in the Washington Post article concerning this expansion that Nebraska was still considered a National “Brand” #GBR not bad for a program that hasn’t won a Conference Title in Football for nearly 25 years & Basketball for 70…
  23. Please tell me there’s already a “Husker Hoops Central Travel Package” in the works for the Nebrasketball’s maiden voyage into Pauley Pavilion as a Conference foe…
  24. Blaise is the “X” factor, if he’s REALLY good, we have a chance to be good. If he’s just so/so we could be fighting it out at the bottom again.
