NCAA is effectively dead at this point, baring a wild ride in the Big Ten Tournament. But it would be a travesty if a team like this doesn't get a chance in the NIT. These are the types of teams casual fans like to watch, getting hot late in the season.

The #10 seed is still open, but we're not in the driver's seat and need some deep tiebreakers to make it happen. We officially lost our chances at #7-#9 today. The mindset should now change to just playing well against Iowa on the road; getting our players healthy and ready for the tournament.

Hey, proud of this team. 2nd half was atrocious. But we're bruised and tired, had a lot of energy in this game; talent overtook us today. Doesn't underscore what this team has done in February and even parts of today.

This second half performance my Michigan State doesn't surprise me one bit. But how much we deflated has made this a no-contest.

Perfect. I missed that point, even when rereading. Yeah my point was more an observation. We could possibly get to 8 wins in a couple of those prior seasons as much as we could stay at 8 or get to 10 this season. I wonder how much a longer conference season has impacted the game and selection possibilities. Whether those extra 2 pushed a team over the bubble or they would have been better off scheduling their own 2 non-conference games.

7 of those prior 11 seasons only had 18 conference games (vs 20 in recent history).
