  1. Yeah this is pretty awesome. I don't care who you are. Fantastic day for women's athletics.
  2. No, we're not on the same page here. Honestly I used that phrasing because I forgot the guys name, but figured it'd work. I know you're talking about Marc Boehm. The other was just in jest.
  3. You can just come out and say it... Creighton.
  4. The administration sets priorities and funding. They have strong influence in who takes power. And over the last few decades there's been talks on how the culture within hasn't been aligned with each others incentives. All that said, as you've noted it's the coaches and players who execute. But if rumors have been true about the culture, it can be one of many reasons why we've continued to fall flat.
  5. Believe it or not, it's been 10 years since Pinnacle Bank Arena has been operating. Ten years ago today, graduation commencements were taking place. Then concerts. And eventually Husker Hoops. Given the occasion, does anybody have any memories at PBA that really stand out for them?
  6. I wonder what this would mean for some hoops tournaments as well:
  7. Does "Kevin Warren becoming the commissioner of the Pac-12/MWC" fall into any of those scenarios?
  8. I think it all depends what contractual language was in the media rights agreement in the event that teams get added or removed. Because that could lead to renegotiations and a much lower value that's just not attractive enough for teams to take a risk in joining a league that could collapse. All speculation as I haven't seen the language, but something that ADs will certainly consider.
  9. Smart Better: "I'll take the under on the Iowa game." Bookie: "Are you sure? I mean, it's Iowa...so we set the O/U to 0.5." Smart Better: "Always take the under when Iowa is involved. Always." $10,000 to win $10,001? I'm in!
  10. I haven't seen that. Supposedly, he wagered on at least one Iowa sporting event. Nebrasketball Transfer Ahron Ulis Facing Tampering Charges Amid Sports Gambling Probe (msn.com) Once again, the 24-72 hour rule applies. Wait till the dust settles. How about another example of an Iowa player betting on their own team?
  11. Or "Ahron Ulis Goes All N"
  12. I'm just really excited to see how Haanif Cheatham, Dachon Burke, and Cam Mack gel together this season. Exciting things to look forward to. Especially with the Big Ten tournament on March 11, 2020. We're going to crush it. What could possibly go wrong in this world?
  13. They should just make him use the $34,800 to buy his own ticket back home.
  14. Very good point. The time zone thing is manageable with just USC and UCLA. You would have only a few late games. If that is a concern with the BIG, although I poo pooed the idea at first, Clemson and Florida State might be in the mix. That would also open the door for Notre Dame and dare I say @jimmykc alma mater? I think that makes a great 20 team super conference. It's a challenge. Because ideally you want to play earlier west coast games, but I know some friends from places like Arizona State and it's 100+ degrees some days at noon during football season. Which is why they play their games so late. It's a balance between safety and optimal viewership timeslots.
  15. The irony that had Fred hedged his bets on Ulis, we wouldn't be in this situation.
