Still don't agree with the blanket statement of "worst major college program in history." Not that it's good at all to be even in the conversation for that title. Nonetheless. Rutgers, Washington State, and Northwestern all have the same or fewer NCAA appearances as we do. We've also had some of our great years as a program when only the conference champions qualified for the Big Dance. Feels wrong even arguing that we're not the worst, because it's even up for debate. Sad.

This is the name of any competitive game. Good coaches find ways to use the rules in their favor. It's the responsibility of the governing bodies and refs to enforce the rules. Unfortunately, that's the part that's lacking.

What a weird time in the season where we're twiddling our thumbs, yet have more basketball to play. Our team hasn't played gametime minutes in two full weeks. For what it's worth, this is the latest that Nebraska has played basketball since 2007-2008 when Nebraska played Ole Miss in the NIT on March 24. No changes to the HHCC standings, but just a reminder that the competition is still going on. This College Basketball Crown is either set up to be well worth the wait or a big disappointment. I'm not sure Creighton had a better situation than what they have now. They earned their way to this game, but Auburn is a very weak #1 overall team. They started playing every poorly once March hit. I believe they were 2-3 in March prior to the Dance, and failed to make their conference title game. Creighton had them in a good spot in the first half, but gave them too much of a leash to really let their speed and intensity come through. If Auburn pulls this one out, Michigan also has a decent shot at knocking this team out.

It's based on university discretion. Saw some articles with P4 schools going 75% football, 15% men's basketball, 5% women's basketball, 5% other.
