  1. I know there's a difference between professional leagues and NCAA, but Canadian teams (MLS, NBA, etc.) have been able to travel into the States just fine, even with non-essential travel bans between the two countries. Europe travel bans are only *into* Europe, so that helps in this scenario. What's more unsettling in the collegiate front are the international students who may be forced by ICE to go back to their home country if the university is only offering online courses in the Fall semester.
  2. Norm never said who's $300 you were using...
  3. So what's the arm hair situation here?
  4. Two words: Carrier Classic.
  5. The city parks in Lincoln are really nice.
  6. Football was scheduled for August and basketball was scheduled for November. It's July and collegiate sports, in general, are up in the air. I'd imagine it's as simple as that.
  7. Edited 2 hours ago by jayschool Did you know that Lance Jeter played football?
  8. ???? We went 7-25 without a lot of people. Sarcasm? The way I interpreted the comment was that Kobe was just as effective for Wisconsin as he was ineffective. We're not Wisconsin. A player like Kobe could've made an impact to the team that could've translated to a better result than 7 wins on the season.
  9. Meanwhile we went 7-25 without him last season.
  10. First team league to return on US turf:
  11. Hopefully Nebraska doesn't have to wait 30 years...
  12. Only 318 more days left until Mother's Day. Don't forget!
  13. Welcome back, Noah! I always knew you'd come back to supporting primary colors some day. "And that's when I knew I had to come home and get back to my roots. Because as the saying goes, you can't have purple without red. ...and that Northwestern Wildcats is abbreviated NW." - Noah (probably)
  14. Is it just me, or is it odd that we would offer a scholarship to a 5'6" actor...?
  15. Looks like St. Thomas is still in limbo with no D3 home and still no acceptance into D1 to join the Summit League: https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/st-thomas-gains-ncaa-approval-for-next-step-in-d1-move/
  16. The order of the Triple Crown may have been swapped, but the Belmont Stakes start today at 1:45 CT:
  17. Above Andrew White. Who?
  18. Fred: "There can only be one Kobe on our roster." Kobes:
  19. Shatel saying "there's more where that came from." College baseball could soon enter a golden age. Speculating that college baseball is going to be more important to the MLB now than it has in recent past: https://www.omaha.com/sports/cws/shatel-thanks-to-mlb-cost-cutting-college-baseball-could-soon-enter-a-golden-age/article_16beccca-1b49-5310-8601-a2304e6aa5bb.html
  20. Yes, legal concerns for universities. I know that those leagues have plans. My company had plans for us to go back to work in the office. Those plans have changed multiple times. I hope I'm wrong but I believe we won't have professional or college sports until spring 2021. I think there's a balance between legal concerns and financial concerns. I wouldn't be surprised if many D1 teams drop down to D2 in various sports. Pre-COVID, schools were already struggling financially. Even in the Big East, I'm hearing there's potential restructuring the league to reduce travel as well as removing some postseason conference tournaments.
