Nebraska on the Selection Committee Board
big red22 replied to hhctony's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I'd be willing to bet if we beat Maryland we will be in damn near every bracket on Bracket Matrix. Right now we are on a ton of First 4 Out and Next 4 Out selections. This game on Tuesday is a BIG ONE!!! I mean none of you knew this right? -
I watched it. I can promise you he was not on the list on the SC I watched last night
-
Yeah lame I know, but damn I stayed up to see if he did... that was one pretty dunk! I hate ESPN!

HHCC Game #27 - vs. Rutgers (Feb. 10, 3:00 PM CST)

NU - 75 Rutgers - 63 -
And one of those 8 games was Wisconsin where he had 0 points and only 17 minutes of play because of foul trouble. You take that game out he is averaging 11.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2.0 assists Roby averaging a double double is not out of the question next year, and these stats don't show how many altered shots he causes, how many lanes he frees with picks or how many dumb passes he forces because of his presence down low. Roby is going to be a good one for us!!!

This Rutgers game scares me more than any other game on the schedule. Rutgers is capable of beating anyone at any time, pretty much like St. John's! Do I think they are they are team with the best chance of beating us left on our schedule, No. I do however think they are not a gimme game, and if we lose to them it could be devastating to our resume! I think we are in the tournament if we go 4-1 as long as that loss is not to Rutgers. So I really hope Miles goes for the jugular in this game and plays them as if we were playing Duke. Man these games are getting stressful! -
Selection Committee Games of Interest

Northwestern winning tonight put them at 82... They are real close to being a quadrant 1 win too, so maybe it wasn't so bad Michigan lost -
Yet we split our games against the mighty Big East in the Gavitt Games... I call bull **** on our conference being too weak that we have to go 14-4

Can't believe the money is going towards Minnesota? Line is up to 3 in favor of Minnesota, it was at 1.5 last night before I went to sleep.

Baylor Scheierman out of Aurora is really good. Kid has good b-ball IQ, good range on his shot and really good vision. The only thing I think he may lack is speed. Hell he is 6'6 and their point guard!

Hey Long Beach St. looks like they could win their conference 5 Things that are working against us 1. We are Nebraska and our name doesn't pack to much of a punch 2. The Big 10 is down this year, and at this point all of our wins are against the bottom 6 teams and one against Michigan 3. Minnesota decided to join the Sexual Harassment team and screw their season up. We would not be talking about Michigan as our only quality win. We have to hope and pray that the committee looks at that game and who was playing in it 4. St. Johns lost Lovett and not suck 5. UCF lost Tacko Fall and now suck That is called bad luck, but we are good enough to win against everybody we face. Do we have enough luck on our side to do it is the question?

We were starting to feel it, but an 8 day stretch with no games can mess with a teams flow

I actually feel more confident in winning the B1G tournament then finishing 6-0 Penn State can beat anyone at any time if Carr is Hot Illinois is finding a comfort zone Maryland needs the win against us as much as we need it against them Indiana is way better than what their record indicates, they are starting to adapt to their new coach Minnesota is one I'm actually not worried as much about because they are in a bad place at the moment Rutgers is capable of beating anyone... look at their games against Seton Hall and Michigan State

I don't think the probability of us losing every game is very high, but I definitely think we can win the whole thing! -

Take one 6 game stretch at a time, and see if you agree... Taking it all in at once will make your brain explode. Sorry for giving you a headache! -

YUSAG Bracketology... Their information is not correct! We are not 103 in RPI no clue where they are getting their data from? -
Oh I know quite a few of these folks you speak of, and I will forever let them know they are a bandwagon fan if they start cheering for them. It all boils down to them jumping off and hopping on Creighton's bandwagon. That I am not okay with, and they will never get to enjoy Nebraska basketball the way we do. Why, because we know what we've been through to get there. IMO it really pays off to be loyal to a struggling team! PS. I have a bet with one of the fans you speak of that Roby will get drafted to the NBA at some point. Made it last year! Not sure he will yet, but I still see it happening at some point

I am not the biggest fan of Miles offense, and have questioned the minutes he has given out throughout this year. I have never been a basher, but I called him out numerous times for things. The thought of his firing even crossed my mind, but I have never posted it. Here are some things I have complained about... 1. Not calling a time out at the end of the Kansas game 2. Starting Okeke over Roby for the Penn St. game when Jordy left the team 3. Not playing Palmer in OT 4. His overall handling of Roby, because I've always felt he is not used correctly. This is finally turning around thank GOD! Those are the big ones that I remember. His player management yesterday was a thing of beauty, and the switch to the 1-3-1 was perfect timing. I know they haven't officially made the post season yet (NIT or NCAA) but he is getting the most out of this team right now. For the record I am far less critical than multiple posters(cough cough huskerbaseball13 cough cough) on here, but I know when I am out of line. I am now owning up to it!
