  1. We need Glynn to come out of his funk. His shots killed us yesterday, if he continues to put up numbers like 1-9 or 2-12 against a team that is fighting back we could be in trouble. Glynn needs to take smarter shots, that 3 he took at the 1:09 mark was open, but the way he has been shooting it was definitely not the shot we wanted. I love Glynn, but this is not the time to be in a funk and right now he is in one the offensive end. It was a pipe dream to think we could go 9-0 to finish out the B1G season, and it really pisses me off with posts like the original poster in this thread. He is the type fan that doesn't think, and posts what all of our inner frustrations are. You know... our negative thoughts that cross our minds, but most of us know not to post. He is like the 8 year old kid on the plane that says out loud all of our worst fears while we're up in the sky "We're really, really high!... What's that noise?... Why is the plane shaking so much?.... Are we going to crash?... That man talks like a lady! Will we all die if we crash?" This is why all along I have been saying we play in the Big 10, so going 14-4 will get us in. Meaning THIS IS THE ****ING BIG 10 and all the bandwagon idiots that have no clue about basketball need to understand it is VERY hard to win every game in a Power conference. This loss does not take us out of the equation it just makes it more difficult, and I for one love this team. I just wish the casual fans would just shut their mouths, and keep following Creighton. hskr4life - I quoted you in this post because I agree with you, and feel if Glynn comes out of his funk we win out. The rest of the post was directed at the OP
  2. Can someone please explain to me how our SOS doean't go up after Wisconsin winning?
  3. I don't know if kenpom has updated with the Wisconsin win yet, but figures we dropped a spot. Par for the course!
  4. Well what it does is show these dumb ass bracketologists that the Big 10 isn't as easy as they think
  5. Nick Bahe loves basketball. He isn't a homer when it comes to basketball, and he is pretty black and white when it comes to any team he is talking about. My favorite parts of the segment you are talking about were... Question: "Nick if college basketball aloud mid season trade like the NBA. Nebraska and Creighton get to trade one player for one player who would they be and why?" His response was about 5 minutes long so I am going to just say my favorite parts were the "Oooooh Mama" before his response and "Definitely Isaiah Roby, but I don't think anyone on Creighton's roster would benefit Nebraska more than what they already have..." Question: "Do you like Isaiah Roby's play and do you think he will be drafted to the NBA by the time he is a Senior" His response "Yes, and Yes and don't count out Palmer to the NBA because his game transfers very well as well!" I like Nick Bahe, mainly because he isn't a Homer
  6. You didn't even mention if Glynn's shots start falling... or if Jordy lefty hook shot is falling... or if Taylor 12 footers are dropping... or if Thomas Allen picks up the slack when Gill is slumping behind the arc. This team is deep and dangerous. I said in a post not to long ago we can have 3 guys foul out and we would still be productive enough to win games
  7. Brackets that obviously have a bias against Nebraska, or don't pay any attention as of February 14th... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vTt8UxjKAEIjcj_InZ1Ah_CIKJqlphKL7VPfsqWzJUFI1TIAvQXH6NFuHYjlDX88TkqqcVhZINYlzCm/pubhtml?gid=1728765619&single=true Here is another sweet one. Maryland as a 9 seed and Nebraska in the first 4 out. I mean seriously have these dumbasses even watched Nebraska in a freaking game? http://onemancommittee.com/ Doesn't even have us listed. 11-4 Big 10 team not even in consideration in this guys mind. https://bracketresearch.com/bracketology-bracket-projection/ Has Maryland as a 10 seed and Penn State in the First 4 out, but Nebraska is not listed My brain is about to explode. Can't look at anymore at the moment!
  8. https://carolinasportsthoughts.wordpress.com/ Exact reason bracket matrix is not accurate. This freaking idiot still has Maryland ahead of us and we are a 3 seed in the NIT. I guess he projects we lose out? What an idiot!
  9. If we were to win out and make the championship game we would be... 25-9 - Overall 14-4 - In Conference 3 wins against Tournament teams We would probably be a 7 seed if this played out... maybe even a 6 seed
  10. Lunardi in my opinion is just f'in with us. That is the only logical answer here
  11. I have to add to this... I was listening to the Fox Sports 1 bracketologist last night, and he said that Providence needs to be in. One of his reasons why was, Providence lost to Minnesota when they were good, so that can't be counted as a bad loss against them. That in itself is how ridiculous these bracketologists are! They can't help Nebraska but they can help Providence? If these so called expert actually dug into our resume and looked deep we'd be in if we went 1-2 in the next three games.
  12. I am responding to this and this alone, because I know the committee uses computers much like you do. They aren't good anymore, I get it... What does that have to do with the fact that we beat them at full strength? This is where computers need to take a step back, because the information is flawed. The Minnesota game needs to be brought up and it needs to matter when the committee discusses our resume, because that team we beat was predicted to finish 2nd in our league at that point in the year!
  13. LRMC (Bayesian) results through games of 2/12/2018 Nebraska Overall rank = 45 Record: 19-8 (avg. opponent rank = 122, which is 63rd best in Div. I) Home: 13-1 (avg. opponent rank = 154, which is 65th best in Div. I) Road: 4-6 (avg. opponent rank = 53, which is 26th best in Div. I) Neutral1: 2-1 (avg. opponent rank = 205, which is 191st best in Div. I) Conference2: 10-4 (avg. opponent rank = 70, which is 58th best in Div. I) Nonconference: 9-4 (avg. opponent rank = 178, which is 195th best in Div. I) Bold and underline are what RPI and other terrible computers aren't taking into effect! We will be in the top 40 in this one once it is updated
  14. In my humble opinion, both teams should be in.
  15. So here is my biggest argument to the bracketologists that keep downplaying us. If the Big 10 is so down... Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and Rutgers suck more than any teams have sucked before. Then why is it that Illinois has wins over DePaul and Missouri Wisconsin is in a down year, but they did beat Western Kentucky Minnesota... The Minnesota we beat has wins over Providence and Alabama Rutgers beat Seton Hall Iowa... Well I don't have anything nice to say about them because Iowa Sucks That is the biggest issue I have with the computers... Where would you rather play right now @Illinois or @Buffalo. Illinois may be having a down year, but it isn't like they are Iowa School for the Blind... Another good example @Wisconsin or @Louisiana Lafayet... Cookie Miller Wasn't Dirty... You compared those 5 schools to the other power 6 conferences. That is great in all, but I don't see Buffalo beating a Seton Hall... or Boise State beating Providence... or St. Bonaventure beating Alabama... or Loyola Chicago taking out Missouri. B1G got their bad rap, because of how they showed up against the ACC. Cool... everyone seems to want to forget that we split the Gavitt Games... You know the one where Rutgers beat Seton Hall. I'm not going to sit here and say that the Big 10 is as deep of a conference as the Big East, ACC, SEC and Big 12. I am going to say that they aren't as shitty as the computer make them out to be. This Big 10 is not anywhere near as bad as the PAC 12 was in 2011-2012 season, and quite frankly I am extremely tired of the comparison!
  16. This ranking system has it about right, and Nebraska should be swapping places with Maryland after the update https://www2.isye.gatech.edu/~jsokol/lrmc/
  17. Can someone post a link to this thing? I can't find it!
  18. This B1G 10 is down stuff needs to stop. How is Penn State not listed here? They have Ohio State, @Purdue, Michigan and @Nebraska still left on their schedule. They are 18-9! Ummmm they still have a shot to get in, and they may be the scariest team to play right now! 3-1 with those 4 games, with a win in the BIG tournament gets them in without a doubt. Could be the only team in the B1G 10 getting less love than us. That means they are playing with a chip on their shoulders as well
  19. B ruce Rasmussen T ake N otice or just B ruce T ake N otice Nevermind I see this is from 2014, and you already have your sign lol
  20. This site below seems to think we are in even if we go 2-2. That is refreshing to see even though I think our chances are pretty low if that were to happen https://sportemind.wixsite.com/collegebasketball/tournament-projection
  21. I disagree with your 1st bullet point. Here is why... You need to take into account conference record once it gets past 12 wins. There in no way in hell they keep out a 14-4 Big 10 team. I understand that conference record is not something the committee holds in a high standard. When looking at the 20 or so teams on the bubble that 14-4 is going to stick out like a soar thumb! 50/50 no way is that the odds at that point. Odds are more like 95/5... 50/50 is if we go 3-1 I keep laughing at all these comparisons to 2012 Washington, and 2012 Arizona and 2013 Georgia. Washington - 14-4 in a PAC-12 conference that had two teams make it to the tournament that year (California and Colorado). The highest RPI in the PAC 12 conference that year was California at 45. Their out of conference record was 7-5 that year and final regular season win total was 21-9. Their RPI was 54. The proceeded to lose in the first round to a 20-15 Oregon State team that finished the season 132nd in RPI. Their highest RPI victory that year was against Oregon at 52. Best win of the year was @Arizona at RPI 79. They did finish the season losing back to back to RPI 123 and 132. That is two tier 3 losses in a row with a 21-10 record Comparison - This resume is the closest our current season that I have seen. Washington seems to be everyone's go to excuse as to why us winning out the remainder of our games still doesn't get us in. Well... here is the difference... If we finish the season at 14-4 we will be on a 9 game winning streak, and our tournament opponent will not be 132 in the RPI. Our RPI will be in the high 30's low 40's going into the tournament. Not to mention our record would be 23-8. 14-4 is an almost guarantee to get us into the tournament. I will put my money where my mouth is too. That is how confident in my theory here!
  22. This is the way I see it... Murphy and Mason had their best games of the year against us. Mason went 7-9 from three land, and Murphy was hitting just about everything he threw up. We were on the road in a hostel environment, and we still didn't sweat it. Huerter and Cowan may be pretty dynamic, but I find it hard to believe they are going to come into PBA and put up better than 34 and 22 against us. Maryland is 1-7 on the road in conference. We have lost to one team in PBA and that was a last second shot loss to Kansas a 2 seed in the tournament. Nebraska is as deep as I have ever seen, and they can lose as many as 3 starters to foul trouble and still be able to produce offense. When was the last time we could say that? Example: Against @Wisconsin we had Roby, Copeland and Tshimanga out with 4 fouls with 10 minutes left to go in the and we still finish the game on a 30-8 rally. We should win this game if we show up to play without a doubt!
  23. Beat Maryland, and we will be on damn near every bracket. 20-8 - Overall Record 11-4 - Conference Record Maryland is currently #39 on the Kenpom. It may not be a Top 30 win, but it is a Top 50 win. There are a lot of bracketologists the have that for their system. Edit: Not to mention NC State should not be in any brackets, yet they are in quite a few after the last update. Their RPI is 72 and kenpom is 59... They are also 16-9 overall and 6-6 in conference, but somehow they have wins over Duke, Clemson and NC
