To me it seems like we were proactive in this instance as the last draw for Williams was us signing Teddy Allen. Not sure how much it would matter for the staff to have actually seen him in action as he's been injured since he started...are we more aggressive with him had he been tearing up AAU last summer?

Sather plays a little slower on offense than former long time coach Brian Jones though like his predecessor he is still trying to run opponents of the 3pt line. At this point the Hawks aren't a particularly good team, racking up 3 of their 5 wins thus far vs non-Div 1 opponents. Nebraska coming in as only a 10 point favorite shows that the Huskers haven't quite yet proven to be consistently good. Offensively, the Huskers should be able to shred the Hawks in transition and in the paint though Rebraca is an above average shot blocker. On defense Nebraska matches up well though you have to wonder how much Cam Mack will guard Stewart given his laissez-faire style defense. It's possible that North Dakota will slow roll their way to a close game or even a win. It's also possible that the Huskers will aid them by going through the motions. You are interpreting what I said along the lines of Joe Burrow choosing LSU over staying at Ohio St or not coming to Nebraska because he wasn't fierce enough to compete at those places. What I'm saying is that wherever he goes, he's going to give it his all. If he is not successful, it will not be for lack of trying.

I'm in no way saying that this will happen but Burke is the one guy on the roster who, assuming his grades are in order, would have the ability to grad transfer next year.

I'd write his name into the starting lineup for next year with pen.

This. Feels like Nebraska will be fine and Williams will be fine. Nebraska has their coach of the future and we can bring in dudes. Williams is a fierce competitor and he more than likely will be successful in college and beyond. With all due respect to Easley (who probably ends up on scholarship 2nd semester), it's a tragedy that we're this close to landing a Lincoln kid on scholarship for the first time since Jake Muhleisen.
