  1. Thor doesn't matter for scholarships. Stevenson leaving would give us 2
  2. Probably for some. For others it might depend on who their team is recruiting or if they will graduate though the graduation part matters less with the new transfer rule.
  3. Here is the list so far. I tried to filter out walkons. One other thing to note is that it's harder to quantify some guys this year as you have 5th year guys transferring because they happen to have an extra year. Also, it's just April 19th...school isn't even done yet. Winners seem like Maryland, Ohio St, and Indiana for sure as they all 3 got transfers from high level schools putting up numbers. Ohio St got a pair of B1G transfers. Nebraska lost Teddy Allen and rotation guys while gaining two 4 stars. I'd put that in the win column. Michigan St lost Rocket Watts but gained a high level PG. Probably a win. Rutgers and Penn St are obvious losers. Probably add Iowa there as well as they just lost CJ Fredrickson today as well. Minnesota is the most active but I'd probably put them in the loser side as well. Illinois lost a significant player in Miller. Michigan hasn't added nor lost anyone Out IN 4 PG Adam Miller Illinois 4 C Joey Brunk Indiana 4 PG Xavier Johnson 3.3 SG Aljami Durham Indiana 3.5 PG Parker Stewart 4 SG Armaan Franklin Indiana 3 PF Jack Nunge Iowa 2 PG Austin Ash Iowa 2 PF Michael Baer Iowa 3 C Chol Marial Maryland 4 C Qudus Wahab 4 SG Darryl Morsell Maryland 3 PG Fatts Russell 2 PG Connor Odom Maryland 3 PG Aquan Smart Maryland 2 PF Thomas Kithier Michigan State 2 PG Tyson Walker 4 PG Mark 'Rocket' Watts, Jr. Michigan State 2 SG Gabe Kalscheur Minnesota 3 SG Payton Willis 4 PG Jamal Mashburn, Jr. Minnesota 2 SF Jamison Battle 2 C Liam Robbins Minnesota 2 SG Eylijah 'E.J.' 4. It was directly related to the uncertainty of the high school season plus the NCAA adding an extra year that meant him joining early wouldn't just burn a year.
  5. I do think we take both.
  6. This was a pretty good class we signed back in the day. Watson and Jacobson were 4 year Power 5 starters, Morrow was good when healthy, Evelyn was a solid mid-major type for a dart throw type offer. There is a pretty good chance that Breidenbach's play his senior year will increase his stock. On paper we've signed an even better class.
  7. TGF entered the transfer portal March 29th. Edwards on March 30th. We had to be recruiting both heavily among others.
  8. I know we're fine with not filling our scholarships I think we'd take both of those guys. Not sure if Edwards commits if TGF does though.
  9. Joined mid-semester on a team that had a fairly established 8 man roster.
  10. Feels like the same level of kid we were looking at with Kansas transfer TGF but is a Fr. instead of a Jr.
  11. Edwards was a 4 star
  12. The 6'7" DePaul transfer and Pasadena, Texas native picks Nebraska. The former consensus top 100/4* recruit ended up enrolling early at DePaul. Though he only played sparingly, Edwards essentially didn't use any eligibility and will have 4 years of eligibility at Nebraska. Prior to his time at DePaul, Edwards averaged 14.3 points and 5.5 rebounds for Hillcrest Prep in Arizona. Edwards also participated in the USA Basketball program in 2019. Nebraska currently with 1 remaining scholarship for 2021-22 View full article

  14. Yes. Instagram doesn't embed here so your link is the best that can be done from that site and it's valid!
  15. I don't really think it's about players or coaches thinking he's racist per se as much as people being on some level of disappointed, disfranchised, and/or discouraged. As much as I might enjoy seeing these guys being downtrodden and/or want to beat them, it's just depressing to have to hash through this stuff. Once again just feel bad for everyone with the exception of any boosters that might have threatened to stop funding them if Creighton fired McDermott. This is sort of a deal where you look at the body of work and you likely find that this was just a flub but people with money trying to sweep things under a rug isn't the fix; It very well might be contributing to why you have players and coaches leaving. To me Bishop transferring is pretty impactful because as much as Jays fans can rationalize that move is there any way a guy like that transfers out of Creighton in any other year? In February of 2021 that was a guy who probably was going to graduate having only played for Creighton. If you're an assistant coach, your job security is relative to the security of the head coach and you have to question McD's job security these days. The HC is on rocky ground and there is a good chance you're going be bad. Another coach calls you up about a job and it probably pays more than what you're making there. Without even considering how you personally feel about what is going on, you're leaning out and no one is blaming you. If you're the guys that still have eligibility and it's a 'should I go make money' or 'stay for one more year for the team' sort of a decision, the whole 'should i stay for the team' selling point no longer seems that attractive. Maybe it even seems downright depressing. Is the next year going to be filled with interviews asking how you feel about something your coach said 6 months ago? Without even considering how you personally feel about what is going on, you're leaning out and no one is blaming you. Now, people could have connected any dots they wanted on Washington decommitting. Doesn't want to play for McD any more. Had better offers after his play this last year. He didn't have to talk to anyone about what he's thinking. He very much did. In the recruiting game where a large portion of it is to reduce the number of reasons for guys not to pick you, at this point Creighton has a coach where the controversy surrounding him is a disqualifier. How long until it's not?
  16. We've had a lot go on in the last week so this is fairly meaty On the two new signings Wilcher - Elite shooter, Strong body, versatility in defense, complete player Oleg- Has size and skill; talked about adding strength this summer, used the phrase "long term addition", and talked about competing for a spot in the rotation Reading between the lines Wilcher is likely in the rotation next year and Kojenets is 'we'll see what we get' Hoiberg thought the rule change was good because they made things consistent, most likely a reference to how some guys got waivers and some did not. Thought the big change between transfers now vs when he started at Iowa St is that while there are a lot more guys transferring there are a lot more schools now that will build around transfers. Talked about his son Sam committing as a walk-on Thorir is back in Iceland and still is deciding what he will do next year. Shamiel also weighing his options. Was asked about filling scholarships and essentially said they were looking to better the team. When specifically asked about adding a PG he talked about the importance of taking care of the ball and mentioned decision making drills. He thought that the shutdown hurt both Dalano and Trey. After talking about having more time to practice this year to work on fundamentals mentions that Kobe Webster is a facilitator and that Breidenbach has been bring the ball up the court for his team. Pressed again later on whether or not he was going to use the remaining scholarships he remained fairly non-comital Seems to think we've added the necessary shooting to open up driving lanes and is excited about returning 70% of our scoring from last season. Adds that he thinks they need to figure out a lineup for closing out games. Talked about coaching changes. Loesner has done everything as a coach so in addition to player development he's been a head coach and has scouted. Has started to build relationships with players and mentions new strength coach Kurt Joseph doing the same. Sees Doc's role as having a similar impact in terms of the concepts of what will be implemented on defense. Coach is excited to get back to inperson recruiting.
  17. At this point it seems like our primary ball handlers will be from the guys we have on the roster. To me I don't think the problem here is running the offense; to me it's about pushing the ball up the court and not turning the ball over. Will we be able to do that with the guys we have on the roster?
  18. Is 'NETS going to have an outside shot? He has some mid-range highlights here. We'll find out as that dictates whether or not he plays anything more than center.
  19. The slashes are shooting%/3p%/FT%? Teddy Allen's 3pt% needs to be bolded
  20. See you on the transfer market in 2023!
  21. I've put my hands together to fill them with wishes that they were not full of metaphorical posts
