Saw a comment from FH in the post game that the team didn't practice well all week. I can understand a bad DAY of practice, but ALL WEEK? As the head coach, how in the hell do you let that happen?

We really don't know how good (or not) this team is. In the same way this game cannot define the season, the directional state universities can't either. We likely won't have a good read on this team until the midpoint of the conference season. The officiating is bad, has always been bad and always will be bad - accept it. The refs did not beat us today. MSU showed up, we did not.

If we can get this defensive effort on a consistent basis, we are ALL going to like this team a LOT!

With the way they can shoot it, you cannot make those lazy mistakes. Every possession has to matter. Blink and it goes from up 14 to up 8 and the crowd is in it.

For 18 minutes, might rank as one of the best defensive performances in recent memory. Lost some energy and focus here at the end of the half. Can’t let them get hot.

Finally home from Memphis with some time to put this in perspective. As far as the game itself, I was so upset in the immediate aftermath. Giving up 58 points in the 1st half??? I mean, c’mon! But in retrospect, I’m not sure there are many teams that could have stayed with TAMU given the way they shot the ball. Nebraska fans, take a freakin bow. You truly are the best fans in the country and the way you showed up in Memphis was absolutely incredible. I was in Section 112 - to the TAMU d’bag in Section 113 who decided to start yapping: you showed a surprising amount of good sense when you snuck out before the final buzzer. You picked the wrong section, wrong fan base and you knew it. There were more than a half dozen NU fans in their mid-30s (not me) that would have liked to speak to you. It has been a fun year to cheer for this team. I’m hoping and praying that this is the start of something special. To all on the board - have a great offseason! GBR Always!

Section 112 for Friday. Will do the same for Sunday when needed. I’m staying at the Sheraton downtown using hotel points (Marriott). Consideration was walking distance to the arena - it’s less than a mile.
