  1. Based on the interview, we weren’t listed as one of the schools that were recruiting Traudt the hardest. He hasn’t trimmed a list down. I don’t know, I’d be busting my ass off recruiting a local stud that would fit perfectly in our offense. We didn’t effort real hard on Chucky and I’d sure as hell want a tough PG that competes his ass off. Until we start recruiting guys that our opponents think: “that’s a tough SOB” we will continue to suck. Fred chose to “keep” Williams but the writing was on the wall when they saint actively recruit him. They didn’t really recruit Murrell. I’ve heard it’s been minimal on Green even though he has an offer. Hope I’m wrong there. But Fred didn’t recruit the state of Iowa when he was at ISU either. D1 kids for football...we didn’t effort very hard on Keagan. I think we made some assumptions there. Kid will be a stud for Iowa. Cole Peyton. We may still get Dickerson, but I don’t believe that we were super aggressive in the spring.
  2. Bolt seems to be the only coach in Lincoln that values recruiting local kids
  3. Would’ve never guessed that Yvan would make 2 FT’s with 4 seconds left to hit the overs. But I won’t complain.
  4. Nebraska - 79 McNeese St - 66 Non-conference - 60% Regular season 55%
  5. Couldnt they just fire Shitel and keep Sautter and another guy for less money??? Shitel is terrible
  6. I wouldn’t trade Arop for him either. We need some good chemistry guys on the bench. Arop provides that. And he will play hard and not demand the ball if we need him for limited minutes
  7. He looks naturally left handed in the paint and driving to the hoop
  8. That kid can shoot it!
  9. Danny wasn’t always the most logical thinker
  10. That hurts. Time to put the full court press on Breidenbach
  11. FCS can give partials too
  12. Wasn’t Villanova on his final list of 6 schools?
  13. It would be difficult for someone to convince me that he wouldn’t fit well in Hoiberg’s spacing offense. In fact, I think his skill set should thrive in it. And in Creighton’s as well
  14. Let’s face it, we don’t likely know the entire story here. We probably know bits and pieces but we don’t know everything. On the surface, this is the type of scorer and kid that Hoiberg would typically want. The dude can obviously score and Fred doesn’t give two shits on whether someone wants to play much D as long as they can score it. So if you are in the camp that we lost interest, something caused this. Was his attitude that bad? Did he want promises from a recruiting standpoint? Did he lose interest in NU? There is definitely more to this story than what is out there. And I also think an interesting side piece is the question I brought up yesterday...why didn’t Creighton recruit this kid after he opened it back up? They have been actively looking for a scoring guard all season. Maybe that lack of interest provides some insight as well.
  15. So, why didn’t Creighton recruit Donovan after he decommitted? They are clearly searching for another guard in their 2020 class.
  16. Wichita St lost 2 sophomore starting guards to transfer. Four total players. Damn
  17. I had forgot how terrible of a FT shooter he was at WNCC. 98/183 is embarrassing. He was 5/15 his last game in JUCO
  18. I hope I’m wrong on Cross but I’m praying we recruit over him. Unless he takes monumental strides, we arent going To go very far if he’s a starter or main contributor
  19. Mooney was an alpha and those USD teams were better than OK. And he was coached very well. Much different than WIU from what it sounds. I hope this kid is great if he comes here. But I agree with you—I’d much rather have Whitt.
  20. I want to say he was 1-9 vs NU last year and scored like 2 points. But he scored 20+ on Billy
  21. How good is he? Those Western Illinois teams were terrible
  22. For writing purposes, that was probably the easiest way of saying it. Tim’s group really did a fantastic job with these.
  23. Not private if you pay the annual fee. Dinner included, not open bar. There was no pattern on dates, even when Tim was doing them. They were on Thursdays but it was based on the coaches schedules. I think there were a couple times we had 2 in one month and multiple times we skipped a month. When Tim was doing them, we typically had 4 during the season. We had 3 this year.
  24. It’s not monthly. This year was 3 times during the season. Doc spoke at 2 of them. This year was pretty boring. Not anywhere near as fun or informative as when the previous staff did it.
