If the new guys are not better than Parker then we are in a world of hurt. Parker played the whole year and did not show he would be a player in the future. I say give him one more year but you would think that he is #3 PG at best behind Webster and Biggs. I think a redshirt would help him but not good if he does transfer. Tough call.

Could be true with coach there, but more money and a top arena will attract better players. It IS NOT a fact they will struggle, hope Doug stays another year to see how he does against top competition all year. 6th place finishes has a better chance at making the dance as in MVC they had to be top 2 to make it so its easier in top conference to get to dance and thats a FACT, more money a no brainer.

People could make a good case of Big East, MWC being up there or ahead of Big 10.....tournament will tell. Put Big 12 and A-10 top 4-5 teams could be toss up.

Not a mid major and with parity at all time high in college basketball....take the top 5 of Big East and they would compete with any other conference.

Then we should have played too.....IMO a team not .500 should not be rewarded with post season, but if other BCS teams are then we should have too.

Better teams at top and just as good as Big 10 look at teams now.....Rutgers and Maryland is not better than CU, Xavier or Butler.

The Big East will be great for Creighton as it will be one of the top conferences in the country with the additions and once they add St. Louis and VCU next year they will be in top 3 most years of the best. Now Creighton does not have to win their tournament to get in a lot easier to get in Dance in BCS type leagues....just finish 4--6 every year and you are in. MWC is a tough conference and number 1 conference in RPI this year.

Yeah, but so do all the other AAU teams they're playing against, so everyone is equally spent. Level playing field as it were. True, but all teams this time of year are tired. This is as much on Miles as our tired players, not playing any bench even in blowouts?

I'm with you cwg. Terrible passing too. Some of the turnovers were just plain embarassing. What was up with Ray on that one traveling call? Looked like he was drunk. We hurt ourselves the most when the other team is making 3's. Seems like once they get one Talley HAS to take it down and jack up a terrible 3 to try and get it back. Drives me crazy. Ray has logged a lot of minutes, the shot is gone and long gone. It's never been there except 2 games this year Ray hasn't been a consistent shooter in 3 years.

Sorry, but Saturday early afternoon to Late Tuesday night is not a quick turnaround....wisconsin is not that far away. These kids played AAU ball where they played 3-5 or 6 games a weekend with 2 or 3 games in one day.

i can't see just one more win getting us into the NIT. The "must finish .500 or better" rule was axed a few years ago, but I still don't think they've taken a team with a below .500 record. Winning just 1 more game would put us at 14-17 (5-13). There's no way that is gonna get us into the NIT. Even winning two more games and finishing 15-16 (6-12) would be a hard sell for the NIT selection committee unless we go on a little run in the big 10 tournament I don't think the selection committee even has a choice if a team isn't .500. I think we'll beat Minnesota and that's it. But this team has beat my expectations all year so let's hope that keeps happening. i think they did away with that rule. Iowa looked past us and we screwed up their season. They won't let us beat them again. Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota are all tournament teams trying to lock up a better seed right now. This late in the season, I don't see any of them taking a game lightly. Hope I'm wrong, but we already have 4 more conference wins than I thought we'd get so I'm not too worried That is a very old link....2006 and they had 40 teams then, but it is 32 teams now and the NCAA runs the NIT and you have to be .500 or better is why Miles said that.

If we finish over .500 we may be a bubble team in NCAA's or at least a high NIT seed... a .500 finish no matter how we achieve it would put us in the NIT in a heart beat. We play in the best basketball conference in the nation. No way we are an NCAA team even if we finish ,500.. The Big ten is the best conference but not by much over Big East and Big 12. Just because you play in the best conference you have to beat somebody and we have beaten nobody, PSU twice who has 0 wins and NW with 4 wins and Iowa bubble team.

The ref's did not cost us the game....it called pretty fairly imo....but when we are jacking up 3's and they are taking it inside that is where you will get the calls. We played a good game as OSU kept pulling away with their talent but we kept somehow fighting back to keep it respectible.
