Was the loss bad? Sure, but any loss in the eye's of Nebraska fans is bad. For some reason, a lot of people in this state have the mentality that a team has to go undefeated or lose very few games to be good. Now, I am not calling out the people of this great state; I am a lifer. However, I have seen this mentality in every sport at every age level. I've played basketball in high school and college, and I coach the sport too, so I have seen it from many different angles. There are so many people out there that tense up and go nuts after a loss. Some teams need to take their lumps at the beginning of the season and recover. It will build character. I'm not saying every person has this ideology. However, some Nebraskans need to see things from a different point of view on sports in general, rather than looking at it from a football perspective. Basketball, even baseball, is a completely different beast. The season is long and grueling and things are not always going to go our way. This team will find "IT" again, but can we expect a few more bumps in the road? Absolutely.

Almost all of us have been following college basketball before we beat Michigan State so we know what's up. However, it's turned into another "What scenario would Tim Miles leave for" thread. Please do not say I just started following basketball/Nebraska after we beat Michigan State. Season ticket holder since day one and even at the Devaney while in college, and I played college basketball. I'm not far out of college either, so I'm hoping your statement was a generalized one because you my friend are completely wrong in the assumption that I just started following college basketball/Nebraska after beating Michigan State.. Chill and quit overreacting. We often speculate about hypothetical stuff around here, especially in the off-season. And this one wasn't so hypothetical considering the link you posted clearly indicates Tennessee made an inquiry before being rebuffed. So, it wasn't so far-fetched of a scenario. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that we will not be included as one of the schools to have a special jersey. Just a hunch because Adidas has severely deprived Husker Basketball fans of good apparel because we have not been a team that would sell a lot of merchandise. Do I see that changing? Absolutely. Hopefully, I am made to eat my own words that we won't have a special jersey.

Couldn't agree with you more. I'm not hating on Ray, but he has been a let down this year. I really thought he would've turned it up. Yes, I do realize we are a different club and he isn't getting as many touches, but it's been a little disappointing. Still hoping he can play consist for the final games.

Bold statements, but to each his own. I've been waiting for him to get hot all year. I hope you're right. It would be good to see a senior torch the nets at The Bank.
