  1. Can anyone explain to me their thoughts on how often Copeland received an outlet pass after a rebound (I saw at least 3 times), or why it seems there’s not always a clear reason as to whether Watson or Taylor will be point on a possession?
  2. We play offense like five guys trying to figure out how to run the play and then reluctantly passing it to Jordy. At least with the first rotation.
  3. Fruit of the poisonous tree
  4. Some interesting logic there. You have no idea if he goes to prep school if we didn't start this situation so late. If he had the entire summer before his senior year to re-open his recruitment, you have no idea what could have come of this.
  5. Future Frosty's - 81 Current Frosty's - 75 4
  6. This, "AA couldn't shoot," thing is overblown and I'm not sure it was fair. I watched him play as a freshman, some during late junior year, and as a senior, and he had a silky smooth jumper from the midrange. Killed teams in the high post. The tools and foundation were there. He also locked down Ed Chang when I saw them two match-up.
  7. After watching the game today, I’m not sure I’d start Roby if that means it’s Copeland and Roby playing the majority of minutes at the 4 and 5. Recipe for disaster in the Big 10 with other team’s girth. But it’s a lethal niche lineup from time to time. Id actually just start the way we are except Dube for Jordy.
  8. Something I saw that was very enjoyable to me, was that we barely ran any of the Lithuanian continuity crap. Really did go a lot of what I’m going to refer as “Roles Oriented Motion.” Miles and Co. also ran some really nice sets to start possessions today. Creative stuff that the guys executed fairly well. Couldn’t see that against St. John’s because we played so soft and got knocked off every spot. I also thought our ATOs, BOBs, and SOBs were pretty good today. Not sure what our success percentage was but it looked good.
  9. If it wasn’t for the damn scrubs going 0-4 in 2min, we would have shot almost 45%
  10. I see how you took my comment that way - as in a trade - but that’s not what I meant. Where many people like myself are growing frustrated with husker Basketball recruiting (for 15 years now), is we’ll take a shot with some random from Alabama or Iceland, but never with a local kid. A “not where he needs to be” Arop is and was 2x the player Thorir is. I’m sorry, I won’t back down on that.
  11. I am calling that we will deeply regret not following through with our own commitment to his brother. For multiple reasons.
  12. Yes. Jordy is not even remotely ready or where he needs to be. I've avoided talking about him because you all are so excited about his potential and I get chirped at pretty hard any time I discuss him not being very good (or not ready). But he is a liability out there right now. Hopefully, as we get into B1G play, he will have a more useful role.
  13. That game looked like one of the games I used to coach with my NAIA JV's against Cloud Community College with D1 transfers on the roster. We got ran, dunked, and blocked out of that gym. Coaches, players, and everyone involved should be embarrassed with that performance and take some serious looks in the mirror. You don't bounce back quickly from that. That's a game that shows you "just don't have it." Don't care if it's early or just one game. We played like scared middle schoolers. Got bumped off of every spot. Can't run any offense with pressure. Let a couple blocked shots shake us. Played with no composure - get an and 1 lay-up as the game is still in contest and get T'ed up. Unacceptable.
  14. He likes pasta too
  15. Our length should improve our closeouts, and our guard play should limit the amount of drive-bys.
  16. When you think about what type of team NU will struggle with defensively based off of our perceived strengths and weaknesses, you start to realize that we are very versatile and could have a great year. What type of team would we struggle with based off our our line-up? I would say it would come down to our own foul trouble and who might be off the court. On paper, we have multiple line-ups that match-up with multiple different types of teams. Whether that translates to the real world is obviously yet to be seen.
  17. Was attempting to read that article but 4 million ads popped and now I'm seeing Lorde live
  18. NU - 71 SJ - 69 (hey o) This is our Dayton game this year, imo. Gets us all excited when we win, but isn't a good predictor of our season in either direction.
  19. The best ADs clearly state their vision and expectations, provide you with anything you need financially or resource wise to facilitate your success, and then GTF out of the way. Eichorst only took care of the financial side and resource side (as I believe all Husker programs have the finances and resource to be National contenders in all sports).
  20. Cool post man, thanks for sharing. Thoughts to your family
